HOLIDAY IN IJEN CRATER

Last holiday, I go to Ijen Crater. Ijen Crater is tourism object in Banyuwangi. It is beautiful scenery and located about 32 km to the north west of Banyuwangi. I go there with my friends by car. This night, I prepare somethings that I will bring. For examples jacket, t-shirt and shoes. In the morning, I prepare food and drink. After that, I depart to school with my father by motorcycle. The fresh morning air make my body feel cool. After arrive in school, I meet my friends. The car come and I am ready to Ijen Crater. I go there at 6 a.m. In the journey, I can see beautiful scenery and enjoy the fresh air. The road is climb and full of turning. I see a farmer in the rice field, gardens, mountain, plantation coffee and rubber, river, trees and forest. I am very amazed when I see that landscape. I am always see some farmer in their rice field, some people in their plantation, each kind of trees, banks and river. In the river, there are child that play the water with their friend. When the car arrive in Licin, I see plantation coffee and rubber trees. At 9 a.m, I am arrive in the paltuding. Ijen Crater in the high land and cool weather. A trip go to paltuding need two hours. On the way, I meet men carry. A man puts about 10 kg of yellowish stone in to his basket. When arrive in crater, I see beautiful scenery. Ijen Crater is the biggest crater lake in Java. The sulfur crater lake lies between a natural dams of deeply etched rock. It is 200 meters deep and contains about 36million cubic meters of streaming acid water. My heart is very happy because this holiday with my friends. I dont forget this holiday with my friends. I am enjoy this holiday.

IJEN CRATER

In my last holiday, I went to Ijen Crater in Bondowoso with my family. It was Idul Fitri holiday. However, it was not only my family that went there, but also the other ten families. We rented a nice guest house that looks like a villa with a wonderful and spectacular garden that was beautifully decorated with so many different kinds of flowers. We stayed there for three days. It was Wednesday first October 2008 until Friday third October 2008. The weather was extremely cold there, especially in the morning. That guest house has stone cold showers. In the first day, we just stayed at the guest house, because it was already late. When we arrived we played games, watched television and ate dinner together. Then the second day, all of us got up at the crack of dawn, because we wanted to go to Ijen Crater. Because of many dangerous paths, we must go there with a truck. It spent thirty minutes to reach the place. However, if you want to go to Ijen Crater, you must walk and climb up Ijen Mountain. The hiking is about three kilo meters and it will take more than two hours. And finally we got there. It was so beautiful. There is also a Portuguese Castle that has panoramic views. But, it will take around fifteen minutes until we get there. After finished sight seeing, we climbed down. That night, I slept earlier, I think, much earlier. I usually sleep at 12 p.m., but that night I slept at 7 p.m. It is maybe because I was extremely tired. In the last day, after packing our bags we went home together. Finally, my travel was over that day. It was one of my wonderful holidays. Even though climbed that huge mountain made me so tired, it gave me a great and unforgettable experience.

I would like to tell you about my last holiday. Last holiday when I was junior high school, I went to Bali island. I went there with my family. We went to Bali by car. We left the house around 11 a.m. my car moved slowly to Ketapang harbour. We set out to bali island by ferry. We arrived in gilimanuk harbour around 3 p.m.

It was Thursday evening. We were ready to have a journey to Bali island. There were 4 buses, full of students. Every bus had 5 teachers as the coordinators to take care of students. We left Jember around 8 p.m. The buses moved slowly to Ketapang harbour. We arrived there around 1 a.m. After that, we set out to Bali Island by ferry. We arrived in Gilimanuk harbour an hour later. The journey was continued to Tabanan. We reached Tabanan at 6 a.m. The teachers and students had a chance to pray Subuh. On the first day in Bali, we had breakfast and took a bath in Kertalangu. After that we went shopping in Cahayu and Sukawati. We prayed Jum'at at Puja

Mandala where there are 5 religious places laid there. There are a mosque, a church, a monastery, and a shrine that are built in one area. Then we continued our tour to Tanjung Benoa and Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK). We watched Kecak dance. We were happy to watch them dancing powerfully live. The second day we spend the morning at Sanur Beach. We planned to enjoy sunrise. But, unfortunately the cloud blocked the sun. So we couldn't see the sunrise. We left Sanur and dropped in Joger. Joger is a place that we can some famous souvenir. Then we continued to Bedugul to enjoy Beratan Lake. After that we spent the whole afternoon in Tanah Lot. But once more we were disappointed. The cloud hindered the sun, so we couldn't see the sunset. Finally, our tour finished. We went back to Jember on Saturday night. We were very tired, but we were still happy enough because we enjoy Bali island without any disturbance.
