Profile of children in conflict with the law

usually male between the ages of 14-17 has low educational attainment belongs to large, low-earning family of six members charged with property-related crimes use drugs and alcohol has stopped schooling

Profile of children in conflict with the law

CICL were highest in NCR (8,807), followed by Central Visayas (1,631) & Western Visayas (1,002). (JJWC, 2009) Types of Crimes 4,246 CICL in 2010 mostly committed property-related crimes (PNP, 2010) - Theft was the highest (1,631 cases) - Robbery was the 3rd highest (380 cases)

4 M (16.2%) of 24.8 M children 5-17 years old were economically active About 2.4 M were exposed to hazardous environment Highest % of working children came from Southern Tagalog (11.5%), followed by Central Visayas (9,7%) & Eastern Visayas (8.7%) More male (2.5 M) or 63.4% than female working children (1.5 M) or 36.6% Of the 4 M working children 5-17 years old, 25% worked in the evening or during night time.
