Prerequisite
Prerequisites are done as per SAP Exchange Infrastructure Post Installation guide. You can download this guide from SAP Service Marketplace or it is also freely available at SDN. Please refer XI installation guide for more detail. Post Installation Steps 1. Checking sap.com Services 2. Generating Roles: SAP_XI and SAP_SLD 3. Creating User XISUPER 4. Performing SAP XI Customizing Settings 5. Importing the SAP Exchange Profile 6. Performing System Landscape Directory (SLD) Configuration 7. Creating RFC Destinations in the ABAP Environment 8. Creating RFC Destinations in the ABAP and Java Environment 9. Activating Services 10. Creating HTTP Destination PMISTORE in the Java Environment 11. Performing Basic Configuration Steps 12. Checking the Installation Part 1 13. Installing the Integration Builder Client 14. Checking the Installation - Part 2 15. Importing the XI Content for Software Component Version SAP WebAS 6.40 SR1 16. Performing Initial Adapter Engine Cache Refresh [ 17. Testing the Cache Refresh (INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI) In Post installation part 1, I will explain initial 6 steps, for rest step please refer 2 part (Exchange infrastructure (XI) Post installation part 2).
Checking sap.com Services Once you end with the installation the first is to check all the services, if they are working fine or not.We need to make sure that all services are running up and working fine in visual administrator. For it log on to J2EE visual admin:
Choose Cluster Server Services Deploy And check all services beginning with sap.com/com.sap.aii* sap.com/com.sap.lcr* sap.com/com.sap.xi* sap.com/com.sap.rprof.remoteProfile
If any one of the services is not running, select the services and choose Start Application Generating Roles: SAP_XI and SAP_SLD Initially we need to generate all roles beginning with SAP_XI, SAP_SLD and SAP_BC_AI_LANDSCAPE_DB_RFC. For it we need to logon to SAP (you can use DDIC user).
Here we need to do the mass generation, for it go in utilities and select mass generation
Next you need to select input as SAP_XI* (this is for SAP_XI) and select check box generate automatically. Press F8 and run this report.
After role generation, you need to do mass comparison, for it again go to PFCG transaction and select mass comparison:
Select SAP_XI*
In log display, ignore the message that the role SAP_XI_CMS_SERV_USER does not have a profile.
Creating User XISUPER In next activity we need to create XISUPER user for SAP Exchange Infrastructure client: Last name (Tab: Role (Tab: Role) User Password / User Type (Tab: Logon Address) Data) XISUPER SAP_BC_AI_LANDSCA <init_password> / <your_name>, for PE_DB_RFC Dialog example XI Super SAP_SLD_ADMINISTR
ATOR SAP_XI_ADMINISTRA TOR SAP_XI_CONFIGURAT OR SAP_XI_CONTENT_OR GANIZER SAP_XI_DEVELOPER SAP_XI_MONITOR
Provide roles:
Save it and exit this. Now we have XISUPER user with us to perform the further post-installation activities so we need to log off from the system and log in again as user XISUPER and need to switch from initial password to valid password. After this user creation next step we need to restart J2EE engine. Performing SAP XI Customizing Settings Go to T- Code SWF_XI_ CUSTOMIZING
Here we need to make all nodes to green hook (not a red cross). For it we need to do the automatic customizing. We need to select the node Maintain Runtime Environment and then Press F9. For Maintain Prefix numbers, after pressing F8 we need to go in change mode and maintain a number higher then 900.
On next step we need to Run report RSWF_CATID by calling transaction SE38 editor:
On execution page Select the check box of 1. ABAP Classes 2. XML Object types and executes the report.
Importing the SAP Exchange Profile 1. we need to open on Server host: http://<J2EE_Host> : <J2EE_PORT> / ExchangeProfile i.e. For <J2EE_Port>: 5<J2EE_instance_number>00. 50031, as my J2EE instance is 31. 2. User Name: XISUPER, Password: password of XISUPER.
Suggestion from SAP: As the file exchange_profile.xml contains secure information like passwords, we highly recommend to delete the file after importing or to save it by using high security standards, such as encryption. Assign Application Roles to User Groups: Fir it Log to Visual administrator. And Select Cluster Server Services SLD Data Supplier
Go to Runtime tab in the right frame, and push the button "Assign Application Roles to User Groups". Confirm the dialog.
Performing System Landscape Directory (SLD) Configuration Maintaining SLD Connection Parameters: Log on to the SAP System as user DDIC and call transaction SLDAPICUST
Choose Display -> Change. Choose insert row Enter the inputs like Host Name, Port, User ( XIAPPLUSER), Password(password of XIAPPLUSER) Select the check box of Primary
Maintaining Server Settings in the SLD: Open url : http://<host>:<HTTP_port>/sld Give XISUPER user and password.
First we need to stop server, for it we need to go to Administrator and stop the server.
Set it and again go to main page of SLD. And start the server again.
If you are getting any miss configure parameter then reset it, i.e. bufferinstance
Updating the CR Data in the SLD: Before using the SLD server, we need to import two data packages in XI. cimsap.zip: This file contains all relevant class definitions from the CIM specification v. 2.6 and the SAP extension schema. When you start the SLD on SAP Web AS 6.40 SR1 for the very first time, this package will be imported automatically into the default CIM namespace sld/active. CR_Content.zip: This file contains all instances that represent information about available SAP components. I suggest if you do not have most updated then download them from SAP service makertplace. We need to import cimsap.zip and CR_Content.zip from the SLD host (from /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/sld/model/ ) to a host were a Web browser runs. Go to admin and click on import :
Perform activity again to stop the server. And go to Data Supplier Bridge and stop it.
Local SLD should be active and Under Gateway enter: Server: <host_name_of_SLD> Service: <gateway_service_of_SLDhost> And go for set.
Maintaining the ABAP Connection: Go to XI host and call RZ70. Give host and service name.
In RZ70 under SLD bridge gateway information give the complete server name of J2E instance in the input for Host and in Service try SAPGW00 ( actually it is SAPGWXX where XX will be the system number of your J2E instance. So if the system of your J2E instance is 31 then give SAPGW31 instead of SAPGW00). Configuring the SLD Data Supplier Service in the Visual Administrator: For it we need to start the J2EE visual admin.
On the Runtime tab in the right frame, select the tab HTTP Settings Give Host,Port ,user and password.
Generally changes takes some time so, to apply the new configuration immediately, restart the SLD service.
Choose technical system landscape and select the system which we have created in RZ70 transaction:
choose Add a new Product and select the product SAP Exchange Infrastructure.
You need to make sure that all components are selected and then save it.
Maintaining a business System for the Integration Server: Now we need to maintain a Business System. For that again go to SLD main page and choose the business landscape page.
Select client
Select Integration Server as Business System Role and enter the following in the field Pipeline URL: http://<host>:<HTTPport>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry and chose finish it.
Note :- <host> is the host name of the Integration Server. You can find <HTTPport> by logging on to the Integration Server and running transaction SMICM (choose Goto Services and see entry for HTTP).
Post installation step Part-2 Please refer Post installation part-2 for rest of activities.
