BROCCOLI & CAULIFLOWER
Broccoli supplies are plentiful and quality is good. Hot weather continues to drive Cauliflower production up. Quality is good. Colored Cauliflower supplies have improved.
LETTUCE
Lettuce markets have dropped. Quality is good with occasional instances of insect activity, mildew and bottom rot as a result of hot temperatures. The transition into Huron will begin on the fifteenth.
in fruits are almost 100% sugar, therefore refractometers are widely used to check maturity in fruits. The number will be % of solids as sucrose.
CELERY
Supplies are steady coming out of Santa Maria and Salinas. Michigan is finishing up.
CITRUS LEMONS
Good supplies and quality. Imports from Mexico and Chile are available.
Cantaloupe markets have strengthened as demand exceeds supply, especially on larger size melons. Smaller size Honeydew have tightened as Nogales supplies cannot meet demand and Arizona begins in a light way.

Markets are stable. Regreening has been noted. Navels will begin at the end of the month. Florida juicing Oranges have begun.
CORN
There is a seasonal shortage of Georgia corn as the days become shorter causing crops to receive less sunlight. Additionally, ears are running small.
Green Pepper markets are stronger as growing areas in Georgia and South Carolina experience cooler weather. Quality is good. Squash markets have firmed as Georgia growing regions are greatly affected by white fly and cooler temperatures.
RED PEPPERS
Cucumber markets have firmed as Georgia growing areas experience cooler weather. Quality is good. Eggplant supplies are good coming from Georgia. Florida will begin shortly.
Red Pepper markets have gained strength as supplies become lighter on the West Coast. Yellow Pepper markets are steady.

Green Grape and Red Grape markets have strengthened. Red Grape supplies are tightening. Black Grapes and Red Globes are available.
Markets have eased with supplies coming out of California, Virginia and South Carolina. The Florida harvest is delayed due rain and cooler weather. Romas and Cherries are tight.
