A Speech Romney SHOULD Give: The Elephant in the RoomThe C and S Words

My Fellow Am ericans, Every one of us is a product of the environm ent in which we were raised and nurtured. From infancy through adolescence, teen years through young adulthood, our parents or guardians have the biggest responsibilities and the hardest jobs of all: To instill in us the em otional, physical, psychological, social, scholastic and spiritual values that will guide us for the rest of our lives. I was steeped in love for Am erica, schooled in its history, enm eshed in the can-do Am erican spirit of its citizens, and grew up with a deep appreciation of the freedom s afforded to m e and all Am ericans in the Constitution. My parents set the exam ple and encouraged m e to choose m y path and to settle for nothing less than independence, and selfsufficiency. Thats how Ann and I raised our boys, thats how they and their wives are raising our grandchildren, and thats how we want our grandchildren to one day raise their own children. The president was nurtured in a very different environm ent. His father was a socialist; his m other and m aternal grandparents were com m unist sym pathizers, and his m entor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a com m unist. He continued his radical associations and Marxist revolutionary studies during his college and university years. As he wrote in one of his books, while at college he chose his friends carefully including the Marxist professors. At Harvard he had a close relationship with Derrick Bell, a professor of law who developed Critical Race Theory, which condem ns white Am erica as being hopelessly racist and posits that Am erican society has racism ingrained in all of its institutions, in all of its laws, and in the very fabric of its culture. After college, President Obam a settled into Chicago and associated with com m unists, terrorists, and anti-Sem ites. It was in Chicago that he becam e a disciple of Saul Alinsky, a socialist radical and com m unity organizer, who wrote Rules for Radicals. Obam a becam e so adept in Alinsky's principles and m ethods that he taught them to others and to radical organizations, including ACORN. His run for the Senate was launched in the hom e of Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dorhn, form er terrorists from the W eather Underground. It was in Chicago that the president sat in the pews of Trinity Church and listened to hate-filled racist rhetoric for twenty years. He referred to that churchs pastor as his spiritual m entor, despite his renown for condem nations of Am erican governm ent and white Am erica; and despite his being a proponent of Black Liberation Theology, an extrem ely offensive, radical, racist doctrine, popular with the Nation of Islam . And, it wasnt only the president who was connected to his early m entor, Mr. Davis. His two m ost trusted friends and advisers in his adm inistration, Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod, can also trace their political heritage back to Mr. Davis and the Chicago Com m unist Party USA. Mr. Davis worked with Valerie Jarrett's father and father-in-law, both com m unists; and he also worked with David Carter and his father, Harry Carter, also both com m unists who, by the way, m entored David Axelrod. W hether its Van Jones, one of Mr. Obam as earliest czar appointm ents, a self-avowed com m unist who resigned early in this adm inistration; or pro-terrorist lawyers in the Holder DOJ; or others with anticapitalism , anti-Am erican preferences, who are dispersed throughout this adm inistration, m ost if not all of whom were un-vetted just as the president him self was un-vetted you can see how the presidents early environm ent and associations have guided his decisions on behalf of his own self-interests, and why our country is where it is right now. W hen som ething happens once, you can attribute it to coincidence. W hen it becom es a pattern, you can attribute to the persons identity. Obam as entire history is one of early and continued exposure to com m unist ideology, and of his acceptance and cham pioning of the socialist m odel. He has never been an advocate of rule by the consent of the governed, the capitalist econom ic system , and lim ited constitutional governm ent. He has repeatedly dem onstrated his contem pt for constitutional republican governm ent, the separation of powers, and the rule of law. He exhibits his anti-white, anti-capitalist, and anti-Christian sentim ents on an alm ost daily basis. He m ost certainly recognized and understood the historical m eaning of the word FORW ARD which he chose as his re-election slogan, in a political context.

There can be no denying that our two visions for Am erica are polar opposites. I believe in capitalism and freedom ; President Obam a believes in som ething else. I dont know what he would call that som ething else if you were to ask him socialism cloaked in dem ocracy? com m unism ? Marxism ? but it is certainly NOT free m arket capitalism , and his ideology is certainly everything our Founding Fathers sought to prevent in our Constitution. I believe in a governm ent sm all enough to provide the necessary services we need, but to be as scarce in our daily lives as possible because I believe the Am erican people know best whats best for them . President Obam a believes in a m assive governm ent, with bureaucrats and public unions calling the shots. A governm ent like that can only survive one of two ways: Take m ore and m ore m oney from Am ericans pockets to oil the m achine that m akes governm ent run, fostering m ore corruption and coercion; or use the printing press to generate m ore Am erican dollars, flooding the m arket with m ore and m ore m oney, thereby devaluing every single dollar the Am erican people m ake. W hen people are freed from the restraints of m assive governm ent, when excessive regulations are lifted or curtailed, when people can keep m ore of what they earn, theyll want to earn m ore. Theyll work hard, theyll enjoy the confidence of being productive, self-sufficient and independent; m any will start and/or expand businesses ... and all of this leads to happy people ... and happy people want to help others who are in need. Charity begins in ones cities and towns; it com es from the heart. Governm ent shouldnt take m oney from people and redistribute it where IT thinks it should go. People should decide where their m oney, the fruit of their labor, will go. These last four years the presidents ideology has dictated his words and actions and we have experienced in no sm all m easure his prom ise to fundam entally transform Am erica; and even though his policies have failed in every sector, hes not finished yet. And, lets be honest: Its no coincidence that every terrorist, tyrant and radical in the world has openly stated they hope the president is re-elected. W hy? Because they like his foreign policy, which weve seen burning across the globe. There is no coincidence that the heads of the European countries who are drowning in debt, dealing with riots and trying to stave off anarchy, because theyve run out of their citizens m oney, are hoping that the president is re-elected. W hy? Because as EU bail-out m oney runs dry, they feel confident they will be able to count on an Obam a governm ent sending m ore of YOUR m oney to bail them out. Never in the history of our nation have we had a president whose entire life has been so thoroughly steeped in socialist revolution and com m unist ideology, and who has so openly advocated anti-Am erican ideas. I believe his m ission is to transform the United States of Am erica into a socialist state. W ith your support, we W ILL prevent it.
