Santos: Good evening to you and everyone. Senator Antonio Trillanes IV withdrew from the Senate majority on Wednesday after saying he has lost confidence in Senate President, Juan Ponce Enrile. In his speech, Trillanes accused Enrile of railroading the passage of the bill creating the new Province of Nueva Camarines, due to his alleged indebtedness to the former President, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. According to Trillanes, he said that he learned from an article in The Philippine Star that former President Arroyo called up Enrile asked him to speed up the passage of measure. Enrile explained his side to Trillanes when the exchange shifted to the younger Senators backdoor negotiations with the Chinese government regarding the Went Philippine See dispute.

Enrile asked Trillanes about the meeting, but the young senator revised to answer; then he presented a note from Ambassador to China, Sonia Brady which defailed the conversations between her and Trillanes. Then, Trillanes walked out of the session hall. While reading Bradys notes, Enrile said Trillanes was accusing Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario of committing treasonous arts with the way he is dealing with the Scarborough Shoal dispute. It is revealed that Trillanes said that he got an approval of President Benigno Aquino III and met with the Chinese at least sixteen times without the knowledge of Enrile, also added that Trillanes told the Chinese Government that no one in the Philippines wants the disputed shoal and the Philippine government cannot enforce coastal protection.
