Job Opportunity

A high ranking official of an overseas organization in Nicosia seeks to hire a Butler for fulltime employment.
Major Duties: The Butler is responsible for all aspects of party preparation other than the
food preparation e.g. ensuring that liquor supplies are adequate, that all necessary items have
been obtained (e.g., glasses, dishes, tables, etc.), that they are cleaned and returned promptly
after the event, that staff is adequate to serve and that additional staff is properly utilized
and supervised.
The Butler is also responsible for maintaining the inventory at the house, monitoring cleaning
supplies and arranging for purchases as needed, and monitoring/maintaining the good working
condition of the house, appliances, light bulbs, batteries, etc. The Butler has supervisory
responsibilities over the work and the schedule of two maids.
Requirements:
 Education: Completion of High School
 Experience: Minimum 5 years work experience in events planning, management and/or the
hospitality industry.
 Language: Fluent in English
 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills; dependability; quality customer
service; attention to detail; willingness to work a flexible schedule including late evenings
and weekends; possession of a valid local driver's license.
 Residency: Must have the required residency and work permit for employment in the
Republic of Cyprus.
