Quality of Nokia
Today, innovation has never played a more critical role for us. However, at the
same time, the importance of high-quality execution is also increasingly important.
It is what truly successful innovation depends on. In addition, having a deep end-
user understanding is an absolute prerequisite for innovation and quality as it
provides continuous feedback for both.
• quality in processes,
• products and
• Management.
16
In each of these dimensions, quality takes on a different form - it is not a
monolithic but rather a polytheistic approach to building a competitive edge.
17
Nokia Strategy
Expand mobile voice: We can further develop the mobile voice market -- both in
markets where mobile telephony is just taking off as well as in more mature markets.
Nokia estimates the total global mobile subscriber base to reach two billion by the end of
2005 and hit three billion subscriptions by 2010. Nokia’s position in mobile voice is strong
thanks to our key assets and excellent logistics capabilities.
Drive consumer multimedia: Nokia is playing a key role in shaping this emerging
complex market by focusing on the fastest growth areas: imaging, music, and games, to
name a few.
18
On January 1, 2004, Nokia restructured into four business groups – Mobile Phones,
Multimedia, Enterprise Solutions, and Networks -- to better focus and capitalize on the
opportunities in each of these areas. Throughout all these, the Networks business group

W
E collect primary data during the course of doing experiments in experimental research but
in case we do research of a descriptive type and perform surveys , whether sample
surveys, then we can obtain primary data either through observation or through direct
communication with respondents in one form or through personal interviews. In other
words, there are several methods of collecting primary data, particularly in surveys and
descriptive researches. Here in study primary data was collected by means of a
QUESTIONNAIRE that was filled by 50 people.
74
SECONDARY DATA:
Secondary data means data that are already available i.e. they refer to data that which have
already been collected and analyzed by someone else. When the researcher utilizes
secondary data, then he has to look into various sources from where he can obtain them.
Secondary data may either be published or unpublished data. The secondary data for this
study was collected from various newspapers like Economic Times, Times of India and
Hindustan Times. Information was also collected using various WEBSITES.
Then analysis of collected data was made, and represented with the help of pie diagrams
and bar diagrams. The diagrams show the figures in percentages that were taken out on the

The benefit of these picture diagrams is that the data can be interpreted more
easily. It is attractive to look and easy to understand.
BAR DIAGRAMS:
B
ar diagrams are diagrams that represent data in form of bars of different sizes, depending
