GONVAUTO THURIGEN adds a new Blanking Line

With the new expansion, Gonvauto Thringen is successfully meeting the customers increasing demand. Gonvarri Steel Services is installing a new Blanking Line at the facility of Gonvauto Thringen, Germany, to support the companys efforts to meet the growing demand of the automobile industry. The new blanking line will be focused on the production of steel blanks for hot stamping lines.

Gonvarri Steel Services recently completed the purchase of a new blanking line for its facility in Germany, Gonvauto Thringen. The line has been awarded to 3 suppliers:

The Feeding Line will be supplied by SALICO. The Press will be supplied by ARISA. The Conveyors, Frontal and Lateral Stackers will be supplied by BIELE.

Gonvarri Steel Service goal of producing steel shaped blanks with the maximum quality as per the automobile industry standards is assured by the agreement with these top tier suppliers.

Feeding Line - SALICO

The new feeding line, manufactured by SALICO, will process steel up to 650MPa of yield strength with coil widths of 2000mm and thicknesses up to 3mm. It will be able to cut coils of 30 Tn. It will cut blanks of any given shape up to 2.500mm with a maximum line speed of 90m/min. The line is totally computer-controlled with diagnosis and automatic coil feed. A high-precision leveler with six heights is installed, computer controlled. It also features the integration of a full automated strip tail processing.

Press - ARISA
The press, provided by ARISA, has a rated force of 800Tn and the bolsters dimensions are 4.500x2.500mm with a stroke of 300mm. The two mobile bolsters will assure quick die change times due to the fully automated cycle.

Conveyors, Frontal and Lateral Stackers - BIELE

Two stackers, manufactured by BIELE, will be installed after the press: one of the lines shall be mounted at the lateral output of the press and the second one at the front output. Both stackers will include an output belt conveyor, a turning device, a pre-stacking station and a robot that palletizes the sheets over a rotary table. Global OEM manufacturing strategies also call for global teamwork with suppliers.
