Optimum quality for tolerances, product surface and corner radii

The market requirements request flexible systems for the production of cold-rolled open profiles as well as square and rectangular tubes with longitudinal welding seam. Production lines must feature the highest flexibility and automation to guarantee constant product quality with small tolerances and exact reproduction of mill settings. VAIs solution for this challenge is the FCF Forming and Sizing system. FCF Forming and Sizing produces square and rectangular tubes

The Forming Section

In the patented FCF Forming section, strip material supplied from the spiral accumulator is continuously formed into the preselected dimension. The tool rollers in unique arrangement have motorized adjustments with control and supervision from an industrial PC. They produce a wide range of dimensions with no need for tool roller changing.

The driven cylindrical rollers calibrate smoothly the final tube dimension and the corner radius. Also these tool rollers with no need of changing have motorized adjustments with control and supervision from the industrial PC.
