You should describe the role of the press officer / public relations person in the promotional process and how they target content in these publications. You may give current examples of artists that have benefited from press exposure. For radio you should explain the importance for radio play in the promotional campaign to both the artist and the record company. You should describe the role of the plugger and their relationship with heads of music / programme directors at radio stations. The importance of securing playlist support and specialist plays should be examined. You may give current examples of artists / singles that have benefited from radio play.
