HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT COURSE INSTRUCTOR: UMME KULSOOM RIZVI COURSE OUTLINE Aim & Objective: Todays modern

business world requires executives to achieve success despite the complexities of conflicts, competition and the tapering off in trying to reach top positions in the corporate world. Sometimes the most efficient survive, sometimes the most ruthless and sometimes the whole process seems unfair. At the end of ones career you may have a great sense of achievement or dejection. Those who meet with failure enter a vacuum, and retirement is viewed with fear, dread and not as a sense of anticipation. This course is outlined so as to prepare students for the foundations of Human Resource Management. It prepares students to understand the importance of Human Resource activities, evaluate another executives performance, staffing functions within the organization, employee selection, and recruitment, salary negotiation, training, and development, managing careers, and dealing with labor unions. It will enable students to handle work better, and make life with any organization, easier to manage through the proper functioning of a typical Human Resource Department.
