V .P A g r a wa l i s t h e c u r r e n t chairman of the AAI.The Airports Authority of India (AAI) was formed on 1st April 1995 by merging theInternational Airports Authority of India and the National Airports Authority with a viewto accelerate the integrated development, expansion and modernization of the operational,terminal and cargo facilities at the airports in the country conforming to internationalstandards. AAI provides air navigation services over 2.8 million square nautical miles of airspace.The new domestic terminalbuilding at Jaipur Airport was inaugurated on 1 July 2009. Th e I n t e r n a t i o n a l Te r m i n a l B u i l d i n g h a s p e a k h o u r p a s s e n g e r h a n d l i n g c a p a c i t y o f 5 0 0 passengers and annual handling capacity of 4 lakhs.7
