Books Personal Expenses

*Note to PhD Applicants: PhD applicants must apply through the Columbia University Graduate School of Arts & Sciences [1] and are subject its deadline schedules.

Cost of Attendance
The total cost of attendance includes a combination of tuition, fees, books, room and board, and personal expenses. This is for the upcoming 2011-2012 academic year. For current costs please contact our ofce.

Tuition
Tuition charges are determined by the total number of credits taken per year.

Activity Fee
All students are charged an activity fee to help cover the costs of student events and activities, and to help student organizations.

Computer Access Fee Health Service Fee


Charged to all full-time students, this fee covers use of the campus health service clinic and cannot be waived.

Health Insurance
This fee provides all full-time students with comprehensive medical insurance throughout the academic year. Students covered by comparable medical insurance of their own may elect to waive this fee. Waiver forms can be found on the Student Health Services site [2]. Tuition & Fees
