Just Chill ------ A Caf

Now days, everyone is tired by the grinding of boring routine. Everyone wants to spend his time with his friends and family to get rid of routine tensions. Especially our youngsters want to spend time with their friends at least at weekend night. So, they require a place where they can sit and spend two to three hours with their friends. One of the most suitable places is a caf, coffee shop, or a restaurant. Thats why there is a great business of caf in our country and especially in Islamabad. For that reason we are going to develop a business strategy for opening a caf. Most college and university students and young working peoples believe in enlightened moderation and have their social life. Most Parents have allowed their young children to enjoy their student life by celebrating parties and get together. The most feasible place to celebrate these parties is a caf. So, like Islamabad city, there is a strong social relation to start a caf business. One of the most challenging decisions is to decide what the most suitable location of our caf? Our caf should be at the place where most youngsters can easily approach. Central Islamabad is suitable location. Jinnah super market is one of the better place, because many universities, like Quaid-e-Azam University, Case University, Air University, Bahira University, are near to F-7 at a distance of about 5 km. Many colleges including Skans, ICB, ICG, IMCB, IMCG are also near to it. Beside this, many offices and firms, like bestway cement, telenor, U fone, silk bank, MOL, have their head office in main Jinnah super market. So, we may get attention of the working class also. Majority of students belongs to upper middle class family, some belongs to Eliot class. They get reasonable pocket money from their parents and can easily afford 500 to 1000 Rs in a week for their gatherings. People living in F-6, F-7, G-6, G-7 are rich people and they can easily afford their children expenditures for birthday parties and get together. Moreover, people arriving at Jinnah super for shopping also wants some refreshments. So, our caf will serve all of them. Our strong competitors on this location are Boiler room, Hotspot, Encantre, O2, Pizza Hut and Papa Salaces. Pizza Hut and Papa Salaces have great share in the market. Their major product is pizza. Boiler room, Hot spot, Encantre and O2 are cafes. They also owe large number of customers. Goal Market is a major competitor for fast food. In short, we will face many strong competitors and have much hindrance in our survival. Our caf will be comprises of sitting area, dancing floor or stage, a kitchen, and a small store. Sitting area can accommodate more than 60 peoples. So, we should take 3 shops on rent. The

rent of a shop is Rs 50,000. So, Rs 150,000 will be the rent for 3 shops. The caf should be located in front of Goal Market. So that people can easily reach there. Our product includes all eastern, western dishes, Fast food, Burgers and sea food. Drinks include juices, milk shakes, fresh juices, tea, coffee and ice creams. We will serve fresh and tasty Pizza after some days of our starting. Sheesha is also our product. All types of flavor will be served. We will provide a sofa sitting setup. 4-5 persons will be sitting around a table. There will be two portions of our caf; one portion will be for only males. Here we will also provide Charpaae sitting arrangement along with sofa sitting. The other portion will be for girls and couples. A dancing floor is also built, where boys and girls will dance. Music system will be provided in the caf. A DJ will play songs. LCD will also be provided for videos. LAN will be used for online streaming of songs from YouTube. Songs will also be played on costumer request. Security cameras will be installed. Disco lights will also be installed in the caf. There will be table service for costumers. Different wall paintings will be used. Flowers will be used to make the caf more attractive and romantic. We will require total 15 tables. About 60 sofas and 3-4 charpaae will be enough for sitting arrangement. There will be a DJ desk, and wooden dancing floor. All of them cost Rs 150,000.A Samsung LCD cost Rs 60,000 and an Audionic music system will cost Rs 60,000. Crockery and Cutlery items will cost Rs 15,000 and other kitchen items will cost Rs 20,000. Microwave, juicers and refrigerators will also require. They will cost Rs 50,000. About 10 metal sheeshas will be required, so that, they will cost Rs 20,000. Disco lights and other lights will cost Rs 10,000. The estimated cost for starting a caf will be Rs 385,000. Many costumers will come to cafes to smoke sheesha, like in boiler room. But the major problem is boiler room will be that costumer must take 2 or 3 drinks along with sheesha. It is a big restriction for many costumers and especially for students, because each drink costs Rs 80. Also there is small sitting space of boiler room. Many costumers stand outside for their turn. Encantre has club environment, but it is too much costly. The hot spot meal is not very delicious. So our strategy will be that we put no restriction on sheesha and drinks, we will have enough space for costumers and we will serve the costumers with delicious, economical meal and in club environment. 4 waiters will be hired for providing service. A male and a female Manager will be available for taking orders. 2 cooking specialist will be hired. A DJ, a Manager and a sweeper will also hire. The name of caf will be Just Chill. As name implies, it will serves its customers with healthy and tasty meal with lot of enjoyment. All the staff will try best to satisfy the costumers.

O2 serves a special product. It is 98% pure oxygen for inhaling. A person is permitted to inhale oxygen for only 30 seconds. It is known as Oxygen Shots. The cost of each shot is Rs 300. We will also serve oxygen shots after some days of our inauguration depending upon costumers demand and number of customers. Quality will be our prime objective. There will be no compromise on quality. We will use fresh meat, vegetables and fruits to serve our customers. Also the items that will freeze in freezers for more than a week will be replaced by new ones. We will use just in time policy for our customers. We will serve their orders in just 15 minutes. For this purpose, we will keep all the ingredients ready. Caf will be run by 3 partners and the profit expenditures and initial cost will be equally shared between them. We will take a license for our caf. Sheesha and Oxygen shots license will be taken from ministry of health and no costumer under 18 will be allowed to smoke sheesha, cigrates or oxygen shots. Marketing will be done on posters, commercials on cable network, FM channels, face book and by SMS. Special discount will be offered during 3 to 4 weeks of starting. Special parties with special menu and environment will be arranged on 14 February, Pakistan matches, 14 August and Eid occasions. In any case, if our business will going in loss, we should have a strategy for safe exit. For this purpose we will have to wind up our business will small lost. In this scenario, will have to contract will raw materials suppliers for short periods, like with K&NS, Pepsi and Coke suppliers etc. The permit for caf should have small duration, so that it will costs small money, the furniture should be purchased of such quality and design that they will give reasonable money at their time selling. Oxygen shots equipment is very expensive; it will be purchased depending on the demand of costumers. So in this way we will run our caf.
