A parenting seminar called Bukas Loob: Sulong sa
Pagkakaisa was organized by St. La Salle Preschool (SLSP), Signum Fidei, and the Physical Education Department of the College of Education at the Don Enrique Razon Sports Complex of DLSU last August 11. There were 53 St. La Salle Preschool parents who participated in this activity, including four sanitation personnel and 2 security guards. This Lasallian formation aimed to reach out to DLSUs

Lasallian Formation and Social Action Office Director of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute and Signum Fidei Association National Coordinator Myra Pamtambang served as the resource speaker. Director of Career and Counseling Services and Signum Fidei Foundation President Dr. Susan Estanislao delivered an inspirational talk. Teaching Associate Anne Marie Ramos gave the welcome remarks, while the closing remarks was given by College of Education Dean Dr. Voltaire Mistades.
This fraternal bracelet, given during the investiture of Br. Ricardo Laguda FSC, symbolizes the core Lasallian values of faith, service, and communion in mission.

The ceremony was attended by the DLSU community, led by previous Presidents Br. Narciso Erguiza, Jr. FSC, DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro FSC, and Dr. Carmelita Quebengco AFSC. Br. Ricky assumed office in June and spent his first 100 days meeting with all sectors of the University, including administrators, student government leaders, faculty members, alumni, and benefactors. Through dialogues with them, Br. Ricky encouraged all stakeholders of DLSUs Taft and Science and Technology Complex campuses to own the process of creating the next great idea.
He also underscored the need to promote the values of Faith, Service, and Communion in Mission, in the pursuit of the Universitys vision-mission to be a leading learner-centered research university, bridging faith and scholarship in the service of society, especially the poor. Br. Rickys leadership experience includes a stint as Interim President of then-De La Salle Canlubang in 2006. He also served as President of the Jaime Hilario Integrated School-La Salleht in Bataan and De La Salle Araneta University in 2007. From 2011 to 2012, he served as President of De La Salle Philippines.
