The Objectives
BroadVision, through Virtual Campus aims to revolutionize the way knowledge flows and enhance the performance of everyone across and beyond the entire education system. To achieve Global connectivity to stay updated had become need of the hour. Objective is to provide a platform where students can have a lively interaction and collaboration with the faculty members, internal and external mentors. In todays vast ocean of information flow, the ability to share efficiently has now become vital to every individual. With Virtual Campus, it is aimed to achieve knowledge and information sharing swiftly and efficiently and to collaborate, learn and socialize. Implementation of an IT system that can be introduced to the existing education system which would enhance the quality of education but with minimized IT overheads
To make students more employable by enhancing their knowledge base by having them communicate with industry leaders, entrepreneurs, corporate mentors, external mentors and others via eMentorship
Task management, file management, Activity management is a great hassle if done through offline methods thus impacting efficiency and performance. Objective is to have an integrated system that caters to all the basic needs of an Educational Institute. Bringing in eco-friendliness within processes of the education system. Move towards minimized paper consumption by having the students, faculty members, mentors, administrative staff and non-administrative staff perform their activities on computer more efficiently and without maximizing the IT Infrastructure overheads These key objectives has encouraged BroadVision to implement Virtual Campus and aims to resolve the issues faced but students and faculty members at PTeS
Major Benefits
1. Virtual Campus being implemented using cloud based technology, offer seamless connectivity amongst students, Faculty, members of the Incubation Center or Mentors. Information can be shared in an organized way and accessible to all the community members instantly. 2. Communities within the Virtual Campus help the student and faculty assess and learn with sharing information in a much more efficient and effective method. Wide variety of information can be shared using various methods such as Forums, Blogs, Polls, Files sharing, Audio/Video sharing.

3. Students stay updated constantly with information and updates share by the Mentors, Industry Experts and Corporate Mentors to have the students up-to-date with the happenings in the industry and all the buzzing news and identify their scope for career. By having the students get directly in touch with Industry people on Clearvale has made the students more employable as soon as they graduate.

How it helps?
Connectivity The most important thing that Clearvale provided them with is connectivity amongst all the students of their college and employees of the incubation centre. For instance, if there was something urgent to be communicated after the college hours, then they would update the information on Clearvale which is accessible by all the students and employees and most of them always active on this network. This enhanced reachability and eradicated any hassle in communicating and reaching anyone, anytime. Information Sharing Many times, certain information that needs to be shared with the students by the faculty members, faculty members share the same on Clearvale during this class, by uploading the documents on Clearvale and these are instantly accessible by all the members (Students). This resulted in hassle-free information sharing. Nothing was missed and hence their accessibility to information and knowledge increased. It is easier than the regular way of sharing files or documents by email thus saving a lot of time. Communities They have more than 20 Communities on Virtual Campus which cater to different interests of students and staff members. Examples: PTES BBA - this community shares information between students of Bachelor of Business Administration course. They upload blogs, pictures, videos, share documents, share PowerPoint files, keep polls on news, etc. Sports Community - this community shares pictures and information of students taking part in various sports activities at college level and University level. Pictures of students who have won prizes in different sports tournaments Blogs Blogging gives the user a platform to express their individual thoughts and influences. The blogs added were not always copied from news channels or information from the internet which was found useful to share, but mostly about the students understanding, view points and others. This helped students exchange ideas, understanding and discuss on a subject / matter / topic / event. There were certain blogs which were added by the users which shared useful information.

Communities is a space where selective members come together to communicate, collaborate and share information. This page lists all the communities on the network
User can add a new community All the Communities created are listed on this page. User can Join or Leave or request to join community, if it is a closed community
User can click on My Communities to access the communities that the user has already joined

This is a personal page of the user. This page can be customized by the user as per the users requirements. User on this page, would see all the information that is shared with him/her
All the tasks assigned by the faculty members & mentors can be accessed as Action Items
Student can make a post and let the faculty members, other students / friends know what he / she is doing now so that they have track of what their students are doing
All the contents shared with the user are displayed here. Communities that the user has joined also can be accessed from here

Customization of the My Page can be done, by using the Edit Layout option, where the user can introduce widgets to his/her page by dragging and dropping them to the placeholders. User can introduce external feeds such as News Feed widgets; technology news feed widgets, Google services, Google apps and many.

Activities on Communities
This is a typical screen that shows how a community page at PTES would be. All the students, faculty members and mentors of BCA department are part of this community
Students / Faculty post questions, queries, provide information Faculty and Mentors get notification on their page instantly about the questions raised by a student and they instantly reply with the answers Members of the community (Students, Faculty members& Mentors) Files shared with the community, which are accessible with the entire community. These are usually study materials

Task Management
This screen shows us, how a faculty member assigns tasks / assignments to a student or group of students and share relevant information and files which would help them in the assignment
Faculty creates a new task by clicking on New Task Faculty mentions the assignment title & Due date for submission
Describes about the assignment and gives all the other relevant information needed
Adds Assignees to the assignment. Assignees can be added to selected assignees or to an entire group, whichever needed Relevant files that are needed for the assignment are shared along this task, which can be downloaded by all the assignees On Click, of Save, Assignment is assigned and the assignees see this task assigned to them on their page as an Action Item

Student receives the assignment as an action item. Student then accepts and works on the task
Student can now, mention the notes, upload if he/she has to share any file to share and complete the assignment

Faculty can track the progress of the task anytime and also read the notes mentioned by the students and also give feedback to the students by posting comments

Uploading a File
Below screen shows how a file/document can be uploaded and can be shared with selected member(s), selected communities, or to the entire network (All members) and we can also define if it can be edited or if it should be in View Only mode
User mentions the tags for the file to make searching of the file more effective
User defines the permission level (Edit / View Only) and also selects the members to whom these files are to be shared Checks if the file has to be shared with the entire network (All members) Chooses communities with which these files are to be shared

Event Management
PTES has been using several features of Clearvale (Virtual Campus) such as communities, blogs, wikis, pools, file management, task management features to manage and execute the events.
There are many in-house and external events being conducted. For every event, a community is created and members involved in the event join this community to connect and communicate with each other
Message board used to post messages and have a group interaction, to have all on the same page. Ideation can be done using the message board
Videos, Images and other files can be shared with all the members
Pools being created to understand opinions and view points of all the members involved
Blogs written by Faculty members, mentors, industry experts that guide the students in their activities

Knowledge Sharing
Knowledge sharing can be done using blogs and wikis. Industry experts, corporate mentors write periodic blogs and wikis to help the students get a practical approach of their learning and give them knowledge and scope of the upcoming technologies and subjects that are buzzing in the industry, thereby making the students more employable as soon as the graduate

Students can post queries, comments and ask the industry experts / mentors. Mentors get the notification instantly and respond to the queries to help the students gain theoretical as well as practical knowledge

Crowd Sourcing
Alumni, Students and Faculty Interaction Platform This solution has enabled alumni who are pursuing their career working with different companies to connect with students and educational faculty. This has given them a platform to exchange ideas and thoughts. Alumni share their corporate working experience and give guidance to the students to prepare themselves for entering the corporate world. This are also able to give virtual seminars by allowing them to post their videos and share blogs with the students on buzzing topics in the industry, seeking students to learn more and keep themselves updated. Students post comments asking queries and questions and alumni respond to their queries. Alumni also share information about opportunities for internship in the companies that they are working with currently and also share information about any openings in their organization. Students learn this and prepare themselves and approach these companies and get placed for internship and employment after graduation

Readers Club
As Virtual Campus Clearvale being a cloud based solution has enabled document management in a most effective way. PTES has been using this feature to give students a platform to get access to all the e-study material and digital books by sharing the document format files and video format files with the community. This is turned out to be a digital library for the students. Students are now able to access the e-books, e-study materials, anytime from anywhere. This has therefore enabled the students to carry all their study material virtually where they go.
