A new approach for effective utilization of Mission10x e-contents Introduction In the University based engineering education system, a candidate needs to complete a wide range of courses in four year span. Each course is composed of several units. Each unit is the composite of related concepts.
A faculty is supposed to teach all the concepts in any pattern that suits to both themselves and their students need. The session wise coverage will always differ across persons universities. The hand-outs and the depth of the coverage is always an unanswered question for academic teachers. Current format of MxLA Contents The Mission 10x contents available now, are prepared for an entire 50/60minutes session. This may or may not be applicable for every individual faculty and all universities. All contents have been prepared in accordance to what the individual has taught. Thus, the usage of these contents is restricted to only a small group of people. The innovative and experimented method of teaching quoted by a faculty may not match to all kinds of students too. Proposed changes in the content creation In the proposed method of content development, the faculties will conceive innovative techniques, test and develop a FRG for a collection of concepts, as per their university syllabus and target audience. The structure of FRG adopted now for a session plan, can be used for preparing the FRG for each topics. Expected utilization of modified MxLA Contents
Action Plan of Mr.G.Raghu: 1. Conceive innovative teaching methods for various concepts that are most important for achieving the learning outcomes. Also, the same has been felt as difficult and needs more interaction from learners. 2. Prepare plans of teaching the concepts (say around 150+) and communicates them to Mission 10x team 3. Based on the feedback from Mission 10x, he modifies few and re-innovate some teaching techniques for few concepts. 4. On finalization, he facilitates the students using the plan.
