Appendix A Label Examples
A.1
General Requirements Labels should be in conformance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z535 requirements. Colors are defined by ANSI Z535.1 Warning Labels--ANSI Z535.4 specifies the word "Warning" to be centered on the label, with the safety alert symbol in safety black letters on a safety orange background. Danger Labels--ANSI Z535.4 specifies the word "Danger" to be centered on the label, with the safety alert symbol in safety white letters on a safety red background.
