He was a politician and Indian diplomat. While in the south, Hawkins was requested by the President of the U.S. to return to Washington . In his response, he was said to write, God willing and the Creek dont rise. Because he capitalized the word Creek it is deduced that he was referring to the Creek Indian tribe and not a body of water

Hudson River Community Credit Union (HRCCU) recently held a raffle to raise money for the Adirondack Vets House, located in Glens Falls, NY. $1.00 raffle tickets were sold for a chance to win two tickets including round-trip transportation to a Yankee/Red Sox game in July. The drawing was held during the seventh inning of the Golden Eagles Community Heroes Night game held on June 23, 2012. Holly Ganote of Hudson Falls was the winner of the Yankee/Red Sox tickets. The raffle generated $713 for the Adirondack Vets House, a non-profit transitional facility for homeless veterans. Each month the Credit Union selects a group of Community Heroes and donates $5 for every new member who joins to a local non-profit organization that represents the local heroes. To date, over $1,000 has been donated to local organizations that have been designated as community heroes. Hudson River Community Credit Unions mission is to improve the well-being of members and their families by providing quality financial services with the best overall value. Another Disappointing Jobs Report The economy added only 96,000 jobs in August far fewer than the 125,000 expected. And while a drop from 8.3% to 8.1% seems encouraging, it in fact shows a discouraging trend weve seen in recent months. The reason for the drop in the unemployment rate is because the size of the American workforce has shrunk by about 368,000 people, bringing the American workforce participation down from 63.7% to 63.5%, the lowest since 1981. How does that happen? Sadly, many people have become discouraged in their efforts to find employment and have simply stopped looking for work. There is an answer to this problem that can turn our economy around: American free enterprise. This November is shaping up to be one of the most consequential elections in American history. We need to put Americans back to work by creating conditions that encourage growth and investment, and above all, create jobs. This November is an opportunity to put America back on a path towards prosperity. Its an opportunity to vote for jobs. I wonder if we wil make the right choice.
