Sony Tablet P Touch Screens: One of the most innovative technologies that have been introduced to the world

over the past few years was the tablet. One of the most innovative of these is the Sony Tablet P. What sets the Tablet P apart from other tablets is the fact that it has two screens. The touch screen is the most important mechanism of the tablet since the tablet cant exist without it. The touch screen replaces a mouse in that you can merely touch what you would need to click on a computer, and it initiates the same command of selecting that object. Touch screens can be made out of different materials, but generally they are made out of something comparable to gorilla glass (which is about 30 times harder than plastic and about as strong as sapphire crystal. Touch Screen Material: Touch screens can be made out of glass or plastic, but these are more fragile and it is important to have a durable touch screen, lessening the chance of damage if the unit is inadvertently dropped. It is imperative that the material used is smooth, to enable optimal swiping and touching conditions. How the Screen is assembled: The touch screen is composed of four layers: Layer One: Polyester coated with transparent metallic conductive coating on the bottom. This is the layer which the user of the tablet touches directly. It sends electric charges (which are stored in layer three) to your finger and calculates the different qualities of the touch, such as location of the touch, how much of the screen was touched, and if the screen was swiped. Layer Two: Adhesive spacer; this layer connects the first layer with the third layer. Layer Three: Glass coated with transparent metallic conductive coating on the bottom. This layer stores electric charges which are used to tell when and how the user touches the screen.

Layer Four: Adhesive for mounting; this layer keeps the tablet in place so the screen does not move around on top of the device. Without this layer, the screen would not be stationary and would be susceptible to damage. Interaction with Other Components: The touch screen interacts with several other components inside the tablet. For example, the three axis accelerometer (which measures the spatial orientation of the device) measures the angle at which the device is being held and sends that data to the touch screen, which then changes its orientation based on that data. It also interacts with other components such as the camera to display whatever is in the line of sight of the camera. On the Sony Tablet P, the two touch screens can send data to each other to either display separate images or split the image between the two screens. Conclusion: The touch screen is one of the most important aspects of the Sony Tablet P. The way it interacts with the multiple sensors inside the device allows tablets to be used for a multitude of purposes. It is impressive how the tablet can read so much data in such a short period of time. It is definitely one of the most important innovations of the past few years, and will continue improving and becoming a vital part of society in years to come.
