K-8K walks into the Starfleet ,cademy Duad. ;e thinks it is perfect sailing weather as he walks for the first time into the <uad of Starfleet ,cademy. J-0 K-8K turns and glances back and out over San Arancisco 6ay. J-0 notices that the sun is shining, sending long shadows yet little warmth. 2his is the way it begins, and what a long way this is from the life -=ve known on the farm in -owa, J-0 thinks. ,round J-0, other cadets mill about while waiting for their barracks assignments. J-0 looks around the Duad and soon notices a man a older than himself.
