Recommended books for IIT-JEE Examination

Most students are always unsure of what books are to be studied for competitive entrance exams. In this section we bring to you a list of books students must follow to clear IIT JEE.

Physics
Must Have : Concepts of Physics Vol. I and II by H.C. Verma NCERT Physics of Class XI and XII Others: IIT Physics Guide by Gupta & Gupta Interactive Physics by MTG is the only book of its kind in the market and explains topics like Rotational Mechanics well. Krishna's Guide for IIT Physics New Pattern IIT JEE Physics by D.C. Pandey Physics by Halliday, Resnick & Krane is the best one for Thermodynamics Physics I & II by Halliday & Resnick is good for theory of Mechanics, Electricity, Heat & Waves and Magnetism. Problems in General Physics by I. E. Irodov is good for Modern Physics, Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism. Problems in Physics by Abhay Kumar Singh Schaum's 3000 Solved Problems in Physics

Maths
Must Have

NCERT Books, and Maths XI and XII by R. S. Agarwal are good for topics of Algebra.

Play with Graphs by Amit Agarwal is a very good book to understand graphs. Useful for both Screening and Mains. TMH Mathematics IIT Guide is good for solved examples (Only the latest edition for best results). Books by S. L. Loney are good for Vector, Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry and Calculus. Differential Calculus by Amit Agarwal and Integral Calculus by Amit Agarwal has a decent and novel collection of problems.

Others: 3000 Solved Problems in Maths by Schaum Series by TMH for practice. Books by Piskunov, and Shanti Narayan are good for Vector, Trigonometry and Calculus. Differential Calculus by Edwards and Integral Calculus by Edwards Thomas and Finney, offered by Pearson Education for Calculus

Higher Algebra by Barnard & Child, and Hall & Knight. Introduction to Probability & its Applications by Willliam Feller K. D. Joshi's book that has only JEE and Olympiad problems. M L Khannas IIT Math Guide has lots of solved examples throughout the book. MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) by Bharati Bhawan Publications can be used for practice. Problems in Calculus of One Variable by I. A. Maron Problems in Mathematical Analysis by Berman 'Problems Plus in IIT Maths, written by Das Gupta.

Chemistry
Must Have IIT Chemistry Guide by O. P. Agarwal is recommended for Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry. NCERT Chemistry for XI and XII Physical Chemistry by P. Bahadur has solved examples. Concise Inorganic Chemistry by J. D. Lee Organic Chemistry by Morrison & Boyd Organic Chemistry by I L Finar Vol. I

Others: Book by O. P. Tandon is good for beginners. Inorganic Chemistry by P. L. Soni Inorganic Chemistry by Satyaprakash, Madan, Bahl & Tuli Introduction to Chemical Calculations by R C Mukherjee Krishna's IIT Numerical Chemistry by Gurtu & Kapoor Numerical Chemistry by Sarin & Sarin Organic Chemistry by Arihant Prakashan.
