Friends & Family of the TU Womens Soccer Program:
Another successful weekend for our women's soccer team and program. First beating Missouri State 2-1 on Friday night in Double overtime and again defeating Northwestern State 5-1 on Sunday. The two wins this past weekend gave us our 5th straight Tulsa Invitational Championship which this year was Sponsored by The Holiday Inn City Center. We are now looking forward to competing in Kansas City

From the Desk of Coach Cussen continued:

this weekend playing against Florida Gulf Coast and the University of Missouri Kansas City. Florida Gulf Coast is currently being projected to make the NCAA tournament and will be a good barometer of where we truly are this season. UMKC is off to a good start and is one of the rising programs in the central region. They are currently 2-2-1 with one of their losses being Oklahoma State 1-0. We are very excited about this weekend not only to see how we play against these tough opponents but how we, as a team, travel and perform on the road. We will be evaluating everything on this road trip and this will be our template for the rest of the season, from how we eat, how we train, and how we prepare for our future road games. GO TU! After our game vs Northwestern State last Sunday, we enjoyed an amazing meal with our family and friends. Karl Peters, Toris dad, grilled up a storm with smoked ribs, chicken and hot linksyummm! We want to say thank you to all parents who contributed side dishes, salads, fruit and dessert. After the game our team stuck around the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium to watch the mens team take on South Florida. It was a fun night especially knowing that we didnt have school the next day!

Goal Club Registration

Join the Goal Club!

The TU Goal Club is a great way to support Womens Soccer at The University of Tulsa. Contributions to the TU Goal Club are utilized for special program needs or projects which enhance the student-athlete experience. Members of the TU Goal Club donate a specific dollar amount for every goal scored and shutout earned during the 2012 Golden Hurricane Womens Soccer season(# of Goals or Shutouts x Pledge Amount = Total Donation). You may also choose to make a one-time donation. Contributions to the TU Goal Club are tax deductible as allowed by federal income tax law minus the value of benefits received. Donors should consult their tax advisor in regard to all tax deductions resulting from charitable contributions.
