RFP guidelines A request for proposal (RFP) is a document that businesses create for the purpose of inviting suppliers to bid for the opportunity to provide specified products or services. Detailed RFPs typically include: Signature page Title page Executive summary Table of contents Details of request Technical specifications Vendor requirements Procedures for asking questions Description of response formatTerms and conditions Submission deadline Method of award ****Final RFP Format*** Please use the format in this example for your final RFP. This RFP example is that of a company looking for someone to come in and provide professional development training (this is what you have proposed to your boss based upon your PDP); therefore it is very relevant to what you want to accomplish. Background: Now that your PDP is complete and you know what professional development workshop...you/other employees need, your employer has put you in charge of this project. The RFP is the communication tool used to convey your need to outside vendors. It is very specific. Please use your current or last employer's information as the background for the RFP. Please make sure you follow this example and that your final product is thorough.
