2012 YEAR-TO-DATE SALES AND MARKET SHARE TRENDS

2011 YTD Sales Growth by Category

Year to date, sales of all pest control chemicals (insecticides, rodenticides, termiticides, and termite baits) are up 11.0% over the prior year. GIC sales have been particulary strong with YTD sales up 12.5%. Rodenticide sales are up 6.0%, while rodent baits station sales are up nearly 12%. Sales of termite control products remain strong with yearover-year sales up nearly 11%. 2011 YTD Sales Growth by Month

With the exception of the month of June, GIC sales have surpassed sales in every month this year. This is not particularly surprising given the mild winter and extended spring weather. Also, it should be remembered that the GIC season lagged in the first four months of 2011 and didnt kick in until May and June.

2012 Performance by Manufacturer MGK, CSI, Rockwell, Wellmark, and DuPont all appear to have grown their businesses substantially over the same period in the prior year. This is also reflected in those companies increase in market share. All leading suppliers have experienced growth this year with the exception of private label products which are essentially flat year-over-year.

MGK, DuPont, CSI, and Dow have all increased market share by one-half a share point or more this past year. (Note:
Dows share does not include sales of SENTRICON termite bait which is sold directly to end-users.)

Based on the growth were seeing in DuPonts pest control business, the size of Syngentas pest control portfolio will likely more than double upon completion of the recently announced acquisition.

Termite Control and GIC

YTD Termite Sales by Month

The termite control market is up nearly 11% through the first seven months of this year. The impact of aggressive in-season product promotions by BASF and CSI in April is evident in the data.

Year-over-Year GIC Market Share For the tenth month period from October 1, 2011 to July 31, 2012, CSI and MGK have grown GIC share 1.3 points and 1.1 points, respectively. DuPont has grown by 0.8 share points. Not surprisingly, most of the share loss has come from BASF and Bayer GIC product sales.

Rodenticides YTD, Year-over-Year Share Change

Bell Laboratories continues to dominate the rodenticide category with YTD share increase of 1 point and a total share of two-thirds (66.8%) of the professional rodenticide market.

Bell Laboratories holds nearly 80% share of the rodent bait station market having gained 4 share points in this calendar year.
