@ ii i ) I n t h e c a s e o f E x - D e f e n c e p e r s o n a l , t h e i n t e r v a l b e t w e e n t h e d a t e o f t h e i r r e l e a s e f r o m t h e Defence Forces of Pakistan including the Mujahid Force and the date of re-employment in aCivil Department subject to a maximum

of seven years and the whole of the period of service rendered by them in such Forces shall, for the purposes of upper age limit under anyrule, be excluded from their age.i v ) I n t h e case of a person who has rendered national service under the P a k i s t a n N a t i o n a l Services Ordinance, 1970, the period actually spent by him in such service shall, for the purpose of upper age limit prescribed under any rule, for appointment to any service/post beexcluded from his age.v ) I n t h e c a s e o f a candidate already working as a Government servant, the p e r i o d o f h i s continuous service as such shall for the purpose of upper age limit prescribed under anyservice rules, of the post for which he is a candidate, be excluded from his age. # Provided the upper-age limit shall not exceed 35 years for recruitment to any post to befilled in on the recommendations of the Punjab PublicServiceCommissiononthebasisofthecombinedcompetitiveexamination/ # # competitiveexamination. Notwithstanding anything contained to the contrary with regard to the Upper AgeLimit in any Service/Recruitment Rules, the Upper Age Limit shall not exceed 40ye a r s i n t h e c a s e o f p e r s o n s w h o a r e d o m i c i l e d i n P u n j a b a n d a r e s e r v i n g i n connection with the affairs of Punjab Government, with at least 4 years service assuch, for recruitment to any post to be filled in, on the recommendation of the PunjabPublic Service Commission, on the basis of the Combined Competitive Examination. @ @ vi) In case of a disabled person as defined in rule 2 (iii) above the maximum upper age limit prescribed in the Service/Recruitment Rules, for appointment to a post, shall be raised by 10years. vii) In case of employees of Afghan Refugees Organization, who are bona fide residents of Punjab, for the period of their service already rendered by them in the Organization or for the period of ten years whichever is les shall for the purpose of upper age limit under anyrule be excluded from the age. viii) In case of children of deceased/invalidated/incapacitated Government servants who applyfor Government service under rule 17-A of the Punjab Civil Servants (Appointment &C o n d i t i o n s o f S e r v i c e ) R u l e s , 1 9 7 4 , t h e m a x i m u m u p p e r a g e l i m i t p r e s c r i b e d i n t h e Service/Recruitment Rules for appointment to post, shall be raised by 5 years.4 .
