Releasing the Ability of God Through Prayer Charles Capps

The Ability of God

Every born-again believer has the ability of God abiding in him through the person of
Jesus Christ.
God is in you to the degree that His Word is alive in you.
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words(Logos
expressed desire/will): and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and
make our abode with him.
1) God and His Word are One.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Word was God in the beginning, The Word is God TODAY, The Word will ever be
God. Gods Word is Lord over all things and every circumstance.
2) Gods Word is a Person, God Himself
Jn 1:14
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
3) Gods Word, the Person of Jesus Christ, is the Creator of all things seen and
unseen.
Gods Word is the Creator of things seen and unseen:
Jn 1:3
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Colossians 1: 15-19
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible
and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all
things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from
the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased [the Father] that in him should all fulness dwell;
Heb 1:1-3:
1. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by
the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of
all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and
upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins,
sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Col 2: 9,10
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
4) God is Faithful and True
Word of God is Faithful and True.
Rev 19:11-13
11. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him [was]
called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had
a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The
Word of God.
2 Kings 10:10a
10 Know now that there shall fall unto the earth nothing of the word of the LORD
1Samuel 3:19. And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his
words fall to the ground.
Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he [is] God, the faithful God,
which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments
to a thousand generations;
Is 55:10,11
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither,
but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the
sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me
void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing]
whereto I sent it.
Psalms 119:138 Thy testimonies (Testament/Covenant) [that] thou hast commanded
[are] righteous and very faithful.

4) The material world was spawned by the Spirit world - by the Word of God,
spoken by God in Faith.
All things in the Universe was first conceived in the womb of the Spirit before being
delivered into matter and form.
Hebrews 11:1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not seen.
Faith is the stuff that all things created are made up of..
The spirit world is the real world and is eternal. Thats where all things are conceived
before appearing in the material world.
II Cor 4:18
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:
for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are]
eternal.
II Cor 5:7
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
The Word of God is spirit, and abideth forever:
1 Peter 1:23
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God,
which liveth and abideth for ever.
The Word of God created the material world:
He spake and it was so Genesis
Ps. 33:4-9
4 For theWord of the LORD [is] right; and all his works [are done] in Truth.
5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the
breath of his mouth.
7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in
storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of
him.
9 For he spake, and it was [done]; he commanded, and it stood fast
Jn 1:3
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

5) The entire universe stands and moves in obedience to Gods Word.

Gods Word creates and upholds the material world
Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word
of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Hebrews 11:1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not seen.
Faith is the stuff that all things created are made up of..
6) Gods Word is Alive and Powerful and Omnipresent
Hebrews 4:12 For the word (Logos) of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than
any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the
joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Jer 23: 23,24,29
23 [Am] I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?
24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do
not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
29 [Is] not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer [that] breaketh
the rock in pieces?
7) Gods Word is Spirit and Life
The Spoken Word of God breathes life, light spirit and faith into the hearers
John 1:3,4
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him (The Word) was life; and the life was the light of men
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words
(RHEMA) that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life.
8) Gods Word Never Changes, Gods Word Changes things
God never changes, Nor His Word
Malachi 3:6 For I [am] the LORD, I change not;
Isaiah 46:11b .yea, I have spoken [it], I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed [it],
I will also do it.

Jeremiah 4:28b . because I have spoken [it], I have purposed [it], and will not repent,
neither will I turn back from it.
Numbers 23:19 God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he
should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not
make it good?
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Luke 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
9) Gods Word abideth forever and is eternal:
1 Pet 1:23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God,
which liveth and abideth for ever.
10) Gods Word knows no time nor distance It is Spirit and defies even time and
space and the law of Physics.
11) We are born by the Word of God. The Word is the seed. The seed is in us to
abide forever and to produce after His kind.
The Word of God is eternal, - the seed (Word) is in us and we have eternal life.
1 Pet 1:23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God,
which liveth and abideth for ever.
12) God is in you to the degree that His Word (Jesus) DWELLS in you
Jn 14:23
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my
Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
13) We are ONE with Jesus and ONE with God
Jn 17:21-23,26
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also
may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even
as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world
may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare [it]: that the love
wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
14) In union with God, You will ask what God asks, and it shall be done
Jn 15:7
If ye abide in me, and my words(RHEMA) abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it
shall be done unto you.
Phil 2:13
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good
pleasure
Jn 15:15,16
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth:
but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made
known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go
and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of
the Father in my name, he may give it you.
When you hold fast the confession of your faith, asking according to Gods Word, Jesus
stands before the Father saying He is holding fast to Your Word, saying the same thing
You said hes returning your Word to you. Now lets perform just the way he said it.
15) Faith required to Receiving in prayer
Prayer without faith is like a key without a hand to turn it asking is the key, faith is the
hand that turns the key.
1Jn 5:14,15
14. And this is the confidence (faith) that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing
according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the
petitions that we desired of him.
Jas 1:5-8
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally,
and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the
sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man [is] unstable in all his ways

When you believe, it is first conceived in the womb of your spirit and shall be
manifest in time.
The power of the Most High shall overshadow you, and you will conceive in faith:
Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon
thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing
which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
Luke 1:45 And blessed [is] she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those
things which were told her from the Lord.
16) Faith Comes from His Word, Not by Praying
DO NOT pray without faith, DO NOT pray for faith to come it comes only through
hearing Gods Word.
Wait on the Lord, for His Word to show His will until you.
Wait on the Lord, for His Word to explode faith into you.
Faith comes only through His Word:
Romans 10:17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
After that, pray the Prayer of Faith and thank Him for receiving it!
What is the EVIDENCE THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED? YOUR FAITH
Hebrews 11:1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not seen.
Faith is the stuff that all things created are made up of..
They are not manifest yet, but you have received Gods Word, and therefore you
have received them in your spirit.
Heb 11:11,12
11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered
of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, [so many] as the
stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.

17) NO LIMIT to what Faith in Gods Word can achieve:

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that
believeth.
Mark 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men [it is] impossible, but not with
God: for with God all things are possible.
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld [them], and said unto them, With men this is
impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy
great power and stretched out arm, [and] there is nothing too hard for thee:
Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I [am] the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too
hard for me?
18) If you pray for things amiss, you will not have the faith (to turn the key):
Jas 4:2,3
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war,
yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume [it] upon your
lusts.
1Jn 5:14,15
14. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to
his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the
petitions that we desired of him.
19) Taking (Stealing) in Faith whether or Not it is Gods Will:
Mark 11:22
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
(God is within us all when we act in faith, that innate power of God in us is tapped and
drawn out sometimes, even misused).

Faith will work without Prayer, but prayer will not work without faith
Mark 11:23, 24
Faith action:
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be
thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart,
but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall
have whatsoever he saith.
Prayer + Faith = Receiving in Faith:
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].
20) Confession brings possession:
Speak in faith in line with Gods will - what you speak must reflect your faith.
Jesus did not say what you pray will come to pass, nor what your believe will come
to pass, but what you SPEAK will come to pass.
Say what you believe, receive what you say.
Anything you speak in faith shall come to pass (basis for blessing & cursing)
Mark 11:23, 24
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be
thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart,
but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall
have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe
that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them]
Romans 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation.
Heb 10:23
23 Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful
that promised;)

The promised land is our rest in redemption.

Fear not the evil reports from the enemy of your faith.
Num 13:30
30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and
possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
(Because Caleb believed Gods Word against the odds, he made it into the promised land)
God told Israel that He had given them the promised land, but they had to go in to
possess it.
Josh 18:3
3 And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long [are] ye slack to go to
possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?
Faith must be mixed with your words the tongue is the mixer:
Mixed with faith: (Num 13:30)
30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and
possess it; for we are well able to overcome it
Mixed with unbelief (Num 13:31-33)
31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people;
for they [are] stronger than we.
32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the
children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, [is] a land
that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it [are] men of a
great stature.
33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, [which come] of the giants: and we
were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
Consequence of Word not mixed with faith: Heb 4:1-3
1. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left [us] of entering into his rest, any of you
should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did
not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard [it].
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my
wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the
foundation of the world.

The confession of your mouth determines whether you receive:

Mrk 11:23
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed,
and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those
things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Gods Word says a man SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAITH, if he believes
and doubts not in his heart and also that anything he desires, when he prays and
believes that he receives them, he SHALL have them. This is Gods Word! It is
Truth!
2 Cor 4:13
13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and
therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak
Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is
good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is
evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Rom 10:10, 17
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation.
17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
What is the EVIDENCE THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED? YOUR FAITH!
Hebrews 11:1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not seen.
Faith is the stuff that all things created are made up of..
Call those things that are not yet as if they already are. In fact they already are there
in the spirit realm, in the process of materializing. The evidence of them being there
is your faith. Your faith is also the substance of that thing being materialized.
Rom 4:17
17. (As it is written, I HAVE made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he
believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not
as though they were.
Rom 9:11
11 (For [the children] being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that
the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him
that calleth;)
Heb 11:11,12

11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered
of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, [so many] as the
stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
They are not manifest yet, but you have received Gods Word, and therefore you
have received them in your spirit.
Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the
heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he
[is] faithful that promised;)
When you hold fast the confession of your faith, asking according to Gods Word, Jesus
stands before the Father saying He is holding fast to Your Word, saying the same thing
You said hes returning your Word to you. Now lets perform just the way he said it.
We should tame the tongue which rules the body:
What we speak consumes the body assimilates through the body:
Jas 3:2
2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same [is] a perfect
man, [and] able also to bridle the whole body
You can even nullify what you pray by talking contrariwise be careful especially to
talk your issues with Christians who ask to share you problems they will only aggravate
the situation.
21) We have the Legal Right to the use of His name
Jesus has given us the power of attorney to use His name.
And because His name is above every other name, we have legal authority on earth
through that name.
Phil 2: 9-11
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above
every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things]
in earth, and [things] under the earth;
11 And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of
God the Father.

Mrk 16:17,18
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils;
they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;
they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Is 54:17
16 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that]
shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of
the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD.
Mtt: 16:19
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou
shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on
earth shall be loosed in heaven.
22) Angels execute the voice of His word
Give voice to the Word of God and speaking it out loud. Hearing it will give you the
faith to do His revealed will.
When we give voice (lend our voice) to the Word of God (His Will), angels hearken and
execute them.
Ps 103:20
20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments,
hearkening unto the voice of his Word.
We speak Gods will, as He works in our hearts:
Phil 2:13
14 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure
23) We rule and dominate in our world, giving voice to the Word of God
Gods kingdom ruleth over all
Ps, 103:19, 20
19. The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments,
hearkening unto the voice of his word.
21 Bless ye the LORD, all [ye] his hosts; [ye] ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
22 Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my
soul.

Gods kingdom is within us, and that kingdom rules over all when Gods kingdom
is established within you, all things bow to that kingdom.
All hearken the voice of His Word.
Genesis 1:26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let
them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the
cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply,
and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and
over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Ps 115:16
17 The heaven, [even] the heavens, [are] the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to
the children of men.
As above, so below.
Our world is as the world above spawned in the likeness of the spirit world.
We are in the image of God, the ruler above created in the likeness of God.
He made us in His image to have dominion, and to rule just as He rules in the heavens.
We play His role below.
His kingdom rules over all and He set up His kingdom within us to rule over all through
us.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. The Word is still God today.
Made in His likeness, our word is God over our world as we give voice to His word.
Our word is God over our world our life and circumstances. Our word is the
beginning of all things they WILL materials and you SHALL have them! They will
come for you and to you!
24) Praying the WORD of God
A prayer accurately stated from the Word of God will move all heaven, earth and
the world beneath the earth to bring it to pass.
Stating needs to God does not move Him, only Faith does.
Release your faith in your prayer based on Gods revealed will
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words (RHEMA) abide in you, ye shall ask what ye
will, and it shall be done unto you.
Phil 2:13

15 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good
pleasure
26) Cast your care unto the Lord
1 Peter 5:7
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
He cant take ownership of the situation if you keep holding on to it and not let go of it!
He said Cast throw the darn thing over! as throwing it over a wall, over to the other
side where you dont see it anymore.
And start thanking Him for it.
Phil 4:6-8
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest,
whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are]
lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be]
any praise, think on these things.
27) Wait Patiently, in quite confidence - avoid other Christians who keep talking about
out of concern and keep praying the problem over and over again:
The test of patience patiently waiting for God.
DO NOT pray the problem over and over again.
Dont keep asking others to pray for it over and over again.
You are better off waiting quietly before God for it to manifest from conception, to
labour pains to delivery.
Isaiah 30:15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest
shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would
not.

Lamentations 3:21-26
21. This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 [It is of] the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail
not.
23 [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness.
24 The LORD [is] my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The LORD [is] good unto them that wait for him, to the soul [that] seeketh him.
26 [It is] good that [a man] should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the
LORD.
When you first believed, it was first conceived in the womb of your spirit and shall
be manifest in time.
Just as surely as the child / seed shall be delivered from the mothers womb, the answer to
your prayer shall come forth in due season.
Heb 10: 35,36
35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might
receive the promise
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he
[is] faithful that promised;)
Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest (intercessor), that is passed
into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession (of faith).
Note: If you go on for too long without the results, you have missed it somewhere.
Admit to God that you have missed it somewhere and ask Him to show you where
you had gone wrong.

28) Start Thanking and praising Him in faith for that which you believe this will
open the channels to receive freely you are also speaking in faith.
Philippians 4:6 -8
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Phil 4:6-8
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest,
whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are]
lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be]
any praise, think on these things.
Colossians 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been
taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Colossians 4:2. Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
By sending Him praises, you are returning Gods Word back to Him and it returns not
void, but will performs that which He had sent it for makes a full cycle.
He sent His Word out to you to instill the faith as you hear.
To create the faith to perform His will.
You believe His Word, and ask according to His Word /Will.
You speak, pray, and Thank Him for that which His Word performs through your request
to Him.
Is 55: 10,11
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither,
but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the
sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me
void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing]
whereto I sent it.
Romans 10:17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
29) Unforgiveness Thief of Faith
Mark 11: 25,26
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father
also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your
trespasses.

30) Faith will be tested

Jas 1:2-4
2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting
nothing.
Heb 12: 1-3
1. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let
us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with
patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set
before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of
the throne of God.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be
wearied and faint in your minds.
God allows the enemy to test our faith. Gods Word must abide in us through the trial:
Example:
Jesus said Let us go over to the other side Lk 8:22 (This means they will surely go
over to the other side)
Luke 8:22. Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his
disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they
launched forth.
Yet when they saw the storms and the winds, they doubted His word. His Spoken Word
did not abide in them.
And they cried out: we perish
24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he
arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was
a calm.
25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying
one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and
water, and they obey him.
26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.
The stretching of the Faith worketh patience, but there is another temptation from the
enemy, which works to undermine our faith and to steal, kill and destroy.
This is what Jesus meant Do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from all evil.
Evil of what? The second kind of temptation from the enemy.

Temptations mean you are liable to fall means you arent ready for it, but the enemy
is trying to destroy you.
When God on the other hand allows tests/trials it is to stretch and strengthen your faith.
And lead us;
- NOT where temptation lurks to destroy us, but away from where evil lurks
31) Importunity and Prayer
Importunity in greek without bashfulness; boldly
It doesnt mean persistence in asking.
The neighbour, seeing the importunity, knew that this friend was not begging, but was
demanding. It would not be easy to ask him to go away.
Lk 11: 8
8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet
because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
Persistent faith is not the same as persistence.
Persistent faith is faith that asks once and stands its ground boldly and takes or receives
from God based on right.
We ask Our Father boldly as His children it is our legal right, and He wants us to use it,
and has told us so.
Heb 4: 15,16
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our
infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy,
and find grace to help in time of need.
But here, before God, we ask not even as a friend, but as a child of a Good God and Good
Father.
Lk 11:9-11
9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it
shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that
knocketh it shall be opened.
11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if
[he ask] a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much
more shall [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Matt 7: 11
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more
shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him
Romans 5:17
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive
abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one,
Jesus Christ.)
Jn 15: 7
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be
done unto you.
Jn 15:16
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should
go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye
shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
32) The Widow and the Judge
Luke 18: 1
And he spake a parable unto them [to this end], that men ought always to pray, and not
to faint;
In the parable, the widow spoke in faith, and with a tone that said if you dont do it, Ill
be back and she said it boldly and not begging.
She didnt have to come back to the judge when he heard her tone, her faith tone
troubled him enough to say lest by her continual coming.
The unjust judge was the devil, and she spoke in the authority of a christian that said I
know my rights
That was faith.
Faith words dominate.
God will avenge His elect swiftly.

33) Do not pray for something that you are not ready to believe God for
Message from God to Charles Capps:
DONT EVER PRAY FOR SOMETHING YOU CANNOT BELIEVE, IT WILL
ONLY DESTROY YOUR FAITH!
Many have overloaded their faith and destroyed it, praying many years to see it.

4.

First find out Gods will concerning the petition

Form your prayer based on Gods Word
Using the faith given by the Word of God
Make petition according to your faith, believing that you receive according to
your faith.

34) We have been redeemed Speak it, Act it.

The Promised land is our complete redemption.
We have been redeemed from sickness, poverty and sin.
Redeemed from the curse of the Law
Sin should have NO dominion over us.
Gal 3:13,14
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is
written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that
we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Ps 107:2
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say [so], whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the
enemy;
Eph 3:9-12
9 And to make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the
beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places] might
be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

We have to go and possess that land.

Joshua 18:3 And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long [are] ye slack to go
to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?
But we are more than conquerors:
Rom 8:36,37
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor
powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the
love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Is 1:19
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
We are the righteousness of God in Christ and joint-heirs with Christ:
2 Cor 5:20
20 For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made
the righteousness of God in him.
Eph 2:6,10
And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in
Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his]
kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of
God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God
hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Eph 3: 9-11
9 And to make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the
beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places] might
be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
35) Spirit to rule the body
Christ had freed us from sin, and from the rule of the body.
Sin should have no dominion over us.
Spirit ruled the body before the fall.

The body is only a vehicle, a tabernacle

Romans 8:
1. [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk
not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of
sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his
own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh,
but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after
the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of
God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.
Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10. And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life
because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised
up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth
in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the
deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
The spirit man grow on the Word of God.
The Word of God feeds the spirit man with faith.
Matt: 4:4
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by
every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Jesus had freed us from the law of sin and death
The rule of the body had ended: Rom 8:10
Renew the mind to know that you are freed from the rule of the body.
Train the body to submit it is like a child that should and can be disciplined.
1Corinthians 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by
any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
(In the original greek, keep under my body actually is Buffet my body to slap with
open hands or with clenched fists.)

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do
mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Colossians 3:5. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication,
uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is
idolatry:
Gal 5:16-25
16 [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are
contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you
before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not
inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness,
faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
36 New Covenant Prayer: Sealed in the Blood of Christ
In the New Covenant That Day, we ask the Father in Jesus Name:
Jn 16:23,24, 26,27
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye
shall ask the Father in my name, he will give [it] you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy
may be full.
26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the
Father for you:
27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I
came out from God.
37) Prayer of dedication changes the person, not God it aligns you to Gods Will.
Prayers of Dedication, when repeated changes you and aligns your heart with God.

Its alright to repeat prayers of Dedication, but not prayers of Petition. eg. The Lords
Prayer.
Prayer is to align ourselves Gods Word and Will and to position ourselves to give God
absolute liberty to move on our behalf.
38) Why do we pray when God knows our need?
Vain Repetitions do not change God.
15 years were added to Hezekiahs life because he repented and changed, he prayed the
prayer of repentance not that God had changed.
Matt 6:8
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need
of, before ye ask him.
1) Because The Father yearns to hear His will spoken through our lips, thats why!
2) Expression in prayer + faith enables us to receive
3) Prayer conditions us, aligning us to Gods will as we express the good things that we
ask for.
For example, this verse were followed by: Matt 6: 9-13
After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and
the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
39) Armory of the gods
1 Peter 5:8,9
8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh
about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in
your brethren that are in the world.
10. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus,
after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].
Jas 4:7
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you

Eph 6:10
10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Note: It says the power of His might His might is in His mantle His armour, which He
is giving us to wear.
It is His own personal clothing, before which the enemy trembles.
When we put on Gods clothes, Satan doesnt see you he sees Gods clothes the
armory.
We are to put on His righteousness.
Eph 6:11-18
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the
devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in
high [places].
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand
in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14-18:
Stand therefore, having your
loins girt about with truth,
and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the
fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
We are to become righteous conscious not sin conscious.
The Spoken Word of God is the sword of the spirit unless spoken in faith, it cannot be
alive. Faith breathes life into the words spoken.
Helmet of Salvation - Salvation includes all deliverance, preservation, healing and
soundness.
Salvation belongs to us:- Jesus paid for it
Is 53:4,5

4. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him
stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the
chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
We are the righteousness of God in Christ:
2 Cor 5:21
21 For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in him.
Gods righteousness is neither inferior or unworthy.
Loins gird with Truth the belt of truth holds everything together the entire
armory is held together with the belt of truth.
DO NOT betray yourself with untruth!
Prayer is our legal right to come to Gods throne boldly, wearing His armory:

loins girt about with truth,

and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery
darts of the wicked.
And the helmet of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: - in our mouths

Praying always next verse Pray the Word of God.

APPENDIX
1) Prayer of the Righteous
Father I stand before you because of the righteousness of your Son Jesus. I come boldly
before you without fear or condemnation or any sense of inferiority.
2) Rhema from Christ that we are freed from sin:
GE 13th September

Cause of Sin

No longer has sin any power over you unless of your own deliberate
choice.
The surest way to safeguard yourself against any temptation to sin is to
learn to love to do My Will, and to love to have that Will done in all the little
as well as in all the big things of your daily life.
So often man puzzles over this - If I have conquered sin, why is it then so
powerful an enemy?
I conquered sin.
It has no power over any soul that does no want to sin. Then all that could
lead to sin is desire.
I lay such stress on man's loving Me. If his love, his desire, is set on Me he wills only to do My Will. Thus he is saved from sin.
3) Rhema on Prayer & Faith from God:
For I have desired to reveal my wisdom, saith the Lord. Even in these days, I have spoken
to men from time to time that there was coming in this hour, men that will speak forth the
Word accurately and learn to use my Word as I have set it forth.
It will come forth with great power, as the wisdom of God unfolds within man, as he
understands the system that I have set in motion in this universe. All men come under that
system; they walk and live under it.

But when they learn to control that system by the Spoken Word, then my power will come
forth in them.
They will be able not only to control their bodies, but they will control their minds in
casting down imaginations. They will be able to rise to a new level of life.
The world will stand in awe as they see these people come forth. They will say Who are
these people that have come in this hour that are able to speak even as though they had
the power to do what they speak and seems to come to pass even before our eyes? We
dont understand these things.
But it is my wisdom, saith the Lord and it is hidden in my Word. I didnt hide it from you. I
hid it there for you, so you could find it and act upon it.
Now, turn not a deaf ear to that which I have spoken, for My Word shall rise within you
with great revelation. For I am doing in this hour, things that men have not understood,
just as was prophesied in the days of old. I said it by my prophets that you would not
believe the reports of the things that I would do.
Some will not believe, but the hour is coming that men shall proclaim my Word boldly
over their own bodies and it will cause sickness and disease to depart. Their words will
cause the enemies to flee in terror.
The power of the Lord shall rise within men, until there will be a race of people on this
earth when I come that will stand against satan and see him flee from them.
They will stand without sickness or disease on their bodies.
They will stand even before whole cities and proclaim, In the name of Jesus, I break the
power of sin over this city. Then the walls will crumble and the power of God shall be
loosed in that city.
The wisdom of God shall flow unhindered and My power shall rule in the midst. Even as
the darkness grows darker, the light shall grow lighter.
My wisdom shall be released in greater measure and greater revelation as men take My
Word at face value, even as I have spoken it.
The tongue cannot be controlled by natural ability. It is an unruly evil in the
unregenerate state. But the wisdom of God, that has come by the rebirth of the human
spirit, imparted by the Holy Spirit to the hearts of men, will cause the tongue to come
into subjection to the spirit of man, which is ordained of God to rule.
It shall cause the body to conform to the Word of the Living God.
The power of the Highest shall be manifest in the Spoken Word. Then men will speak my
Word boldly and believe what they say shall come to pass. It will be even as though I
said it. For when you mix faith with words, it is as though I have spoken it, for you
breathe spirit life into the words that you speak. Your words shall flow forth, even as the
words of Jesus when He spoke, for He said, The words that I have speak unto you, they

are spirit and they are life. The flesh profiteth nothing, but the words that I speak, they
are spirit and they are life.
These words have come before, but men turned a deaf ear to them. But these are the days
that I am raising up a new generation of people. In My Word I have said that you do not
put new wine into old bottles lest it break the bottles. You put new wine into new bottles
that they will both be preserved.
When the human spirit I reborn, the Spirit of God releases creative ability within and it
becomes the new bottle that will preserve the new wine. The rebirth shall come to the
front in this generation and ye shall observe the mighty works of God in it. I have chosen
a people, and I shall bring them to a land, and they shall dominate it. They shall have
dominion.
For I am coming for a church that is without spot or wrinkle. I and coming for a church
that is not weak. I am coming for a church that is victorious. I am coming, and ye shall
see the manifestation of my power, for I have chosen the church to reveal the wisdom of
God to the generations and to the principalities and powers.
When men shall conform to the Word of the Living God, then the power of the Highest
shall flow unhindered out of their voices.
Out of their mouths shall flow spirit words that shall controls the forces that have
controlled them in days past. They will proclaim The enemy is defeated and he shall be
defeated. For I say that the battle is the Lords and the victory is yours.
Learn to walk in victory, saith the Lord.
4) Word 2:
There is coming a day when the people of God will even take authority over the
pestilence that we know in this hour.
The world will say Who are these that the pestilence never touch?
Prayer 1:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I am the body of Christ. I overcome evil with good.
Satan has no power over me for the Greater One dwells within me. Greater is He who is
within me than he who is in the world. No evil shall come near me neither shall any
plague come nigh my dwelling, for He has given His angels charge over me. They keep
me in all my ways and my pathway is life.
I thank thee Father, that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, but whatsoever I do
shall prosper.
I am like a tree planted by the rivers of water.
My God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I have all
sufficiency in all things.
I do abound to all good works for my God has made all grace abound towards me.

Prayer 2- Financial:
Father, in the name of Jesus, your Word says that you will supply all my needs according
to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Your Word says whatsoever things I desire, when I pray, to believe that I receive them.
Therefore I believe that my needs are supplied according to Your riches in glory by Christ
Jesus.
I have given; therefore it is given to me, good measure, pressed down, shaken together
and running over. I have abundance and there is no lack. I sow bountifully, therefore I
reap bountifully.
Father, you make all grace abound toward me, and I, having all sufficiency in all things ,
do abound to every good work.
For the Lord is my Shepherd, I do not want.
Prayer 3 Wisdom:
The Spirit of Truth abides in me, and guides me and leadeth me into all truths. Therefore
I confess that I have perfect knowledge of every circumstance and situation in life.
The wisdom of God is formed within me and I trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean
not unto mine own understanding.
I let the Word of Christ dwell in me richly in all wisdom.
I do follow the Good Shepherd; I know His voice, and the voice of a stranger, I will not
follow.
Revelation about angels by the Lord:
Heb 1:14
Are they not all ministering spirits*, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of
salvation?
*(in greek - angelic apostles)
The Word says the angels are ministering spirits. These ministering spirits stand beside
you daily and listen to the words you speak. They cause or allow to come to pass the
things you say. But you furnish the words of the assignment.
Gods Word is His will for man. Man is created on the image of God, and since God
created man in His own image, then mans word should be his will toward God.

The angels were designed as created beings to minister to you and they know that. They
listen to the words you speak. Every word that you speak, the angels hear, for they are
always beside you, waiting to hear what you choose to bind or loose. Then they are busy
to perform, or cause to come to pass the things that you speak if they are in agreement
with the Word of God. By the authority of your spoken word, they will maneuver you into
a position where these things will come to pass.
But if you speak sickness and disease, or if you speak contrary to the Word of God, they
will not perform it or cause it to come to pass. They will back off, fold their hands and
bow their heads for you have bound them with the words of your mouth. Your words will
either bind them or loose them. If your words bind the angels, you have bound Gods
messengers, and in so doing bound God (figuratively).
Jesus said I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatsoever you shall bind
on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be
loosed in heaven.
All heaven will stand behind your right to be healed.

The Power of Faith

by Andrew Murray

By faith even Sarah herself received power since she counted Him faithful who
had promised. " Heb. 11: 11.
SEE here again one of the examples, so simple and intelligible of what faith is:
"She counted Him faithful who had promised." There was a time when Sarah
doubted, for she looked to nature, and it said to her that she should no longer
bear. Through the repeated promises of the Lord she was nevertheless led to
look to Him who had given the promises, and keeping in mind His divine
faithfulness she found there was no alternative for her but to believe; and the
only account which she could give of the supernatural expectation of faith was
this: "He is faithful that promised." (Heb. 10: 23).
The same way must still be followed by those Christians who desire to be
liberated from their doubts and to reach the blessed experiences of the life of
faith. We must learn to have done with reasonings of the understanding; with
the questions which nature would have first answered, such as, "How can these
things be?", "Whereby shall I know it?", with calculations as to whether our own
wisdom and power are perchance sufficient to bring us where we must know;
and we must hold ourselves content with the view expressed in this sentence:
"he is faithful that promised." The only thing which one has to ask is this, "Is
there a promise also for me?" If the word of God gives us the answer: "This s a
faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation, that Jesus Christ came into the
world to save sinners of whom I am the chief," then that is sufficient to bring us
down before the Lord and to make us expect that He will perform the promise to
us: "He is faithful that promised."
0, if souls would only keep themselves occupied with the consideration of God's
faithfulness, how would unbelief be ashamed. Whenever anxious feelings
multiply in you, and you fear for yourself and your work, go, O soul, bow down in
silent meditation and adoration before your God as the faithful One, until your
whole spirit becomes filled with the thoughts and the peace that spring from this
attribute. Go over all the assurances in the Scriptures, so glorious and clear, that
the unchangeable One Himself shall fulfill His counsel, and that He simply
desires of souls the stillness which observes and expects the performance. Take

counsel with the believers of the old and new covenants, reflect on their ways
and their leadings, and they will tell you with one accord that their strength and
their peace have been -- the faithfulness of God. 0, pray, accustom yourself,
every day, with every promise of God that you read, with every prayer that you
make for the attainment of what God has spoken to you of, with every fear that
arises in you as to whether you shall be indeed partaker of the offered salvation,
-- pray, accustom yourself to fasten your eye undividedly on that word, to
let your whole heart be filled with it: "He is faithful that promised." And,
above all, even when you are not yet able to appropriate everything to
yourselves, forget not to praise and thank God for His faithfulness; praise and
adore Him as the Faithful One; adoration will confirm you in faith in Him. Nor
must you set your hope on the divine faithfulness only when you are taking the
first steps on the way of conversion, seeking for forgiveness and acceptance,
but, especially in the midst of the struggle, to be confirmed unto the end and to
be unreprovable in the day of our Lord Jesus. It is with his eye fixed on this hope
that Paul says "God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of
His Son Jesus Christ." (1 Cor. 1: 8, 9); just as in that glorious work about
sanctification that finds so little belief, "The God of peace sanctify you wholly," he
also immediately adds: "Faithful is He that calleth you, who will also do it." (1
Thess. 5: 23, 24).
It was by this faith, this loyal esteem of the faithfulness of her God and reliance
upon it, that Sarah received power to bear. So far is this faith also from leading to
sluggishness and indifference that it will increase activity. It teaches the soul to
wait upon God spiritually and earnestly, that He may point out to it what it must
do, and that it may learn by experience to understand the deep significance of
that word: "Work, for God worketh in you." Believing in His faithfulness also to
work in it, it has courage to work after Him. "By faith she received power, since
she counted Him faithful who had promised."
Heb 11:11,12
11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered
of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, [so many] as the stars
of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
1 Cor 1: 3-9
3 Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus
Christ.
4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by
Jesus Christ;
5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and [in] all knowledge;
6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, [that ye may be] blameless in the day of our
Lord Jesus Christ.

9 God [is] faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ
our Lord.
1 Thess 5: 23.24
23. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit
and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful [is] he that calleth you, who also will do [it].
As You Came To Him, By Faith (Fifth Day)
As ye have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him; rooted and built up in
Him, and established in the faith, abounding therein with thanksgiving.Col. 2:6-7
In these words the apostle teaches us the weighty lesson that it is not only by faith that we first
come to Christ and are united to Him, but that it is by faith that we are to be rooted and
established in our union with Christ. No less essential than it is for the commencement is faith for
the progress of the spiritual life. Abiding in Jesus can only be by faith.
There are earnest Christians who do not understand this; or, if they admit it in theory, the fail to
realize its application in practice. They are very zealous for a free gospel with our first
acceptance of Christ, and justification by faith alone. But after this, they think everything depends
on our diligence and faithfulness. While they firmly grasp the truth The sinner shall be justified
by faith, they have hardly found a place in their scheme for the larger truth The just shall live by
faith. They have never understood what a perfect Savior Jesus is, and how He will each day do
for the sinner just as much as He did the first day when he or she came to Him. They do not
know that the life of grace is always and only a life of faith and that in the relationship to Jesus the
one daily and unceasing duty of the disciple is to believe, because believing is the one channel
through which divine grace and strength flow out into the heart of man. The old nature of the
believer remains evil and sinful to the last; it is only as he daily comes, all empty and helpless, to
his Savior to receive of His life and strength that he can bring forth the fruits of righteousness to
the glory of God. Therefore, it is As ye have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him;
rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, abounding therein. As you came to
Jesus, so abide in Him, by faith.
And if you would know how faith is to be exercised in thus abiding in Jesus, to be rooted more
deeply and firmly in Him, you have only to look back to the time when first you received Him. You
remember well what obstacles at that time there appeared to be in the way of your believing.
There was first your vileness and guilt: it appeared impossible that the promise of pardon and
love could be for such a sinner. Then there was the sense of weakness and death: you felt not
the power for the surrender and the trust to which you were called. And then there was the
future: you dared not undertake to be a disciple of Jesus while you felt so sure that you could not
remain standing, but would speedily again be unfaithful and fall. These difficulties were like
mountains in your way. And how were they removed? Simply by the promise of God. That word,
as it were, compelled you to believe that, notwithstanding guilt in the past and weakness in the
present and unfaithfulness in the future, the promise was sure that Jesus would accept and save
you. On that word, you ventured to come, and were not deceived: you found that Jesus did
indeed accept and save.
Apply this, your experience in coming to Jesus, to the abiding in Him. Now as then, the
temptations to keep you from believing are many. When you think of your sins since you became
a disciple, your heart is cast down with shame and it looks as if it were too much to expect that

Jesus should indeed receive you into perfect intimacy and the full enjoyment of His holy love.
When you think how utterly, in times past, you have failed in keeping the most sacred vows, the
consciousness of present weakness makes you tremble at the very idea of answering the
Saviors command with the promise, Lord, from henceforth I will abide in Thee. And when you
set before yourself the life of love and joy, of holiness and fruitfulness, which in the future are to
flow from abiding in Him, it is as if it only serves to make you still more hopeless; you, at least,
can never attain to it. You know yourself too well. It is no use expecting it, only to be
disappointed; a life fully and wholly abiding in Jesus is not for you.
Oh that you would learn a lesson from the time of your first coming to the Savior! Remember,
dear soul, how you then were led, contrary to all that your experience and your feelings and even
your sober judgment said, to take Jesus at His word, and how you were not disappointed. He did
receive you and pardon you; He did love you and save you you know it. And if He did this for
you when you were an enemy and a stranger, why do you think, now that you are His own, He
will not much more fulfill His promise? Oh that you would come and begin simply to listen to His
word, and to ask only the one question: Does He really mean that I should abide in Him? The
answer His word gives so simple and so sure: By His almighty grace you are in Him, and that
same almighty grace will indeed enable you to abide in Him. By faith you become partakers of
the initial grace; by that same faith you can enjoy the continuous grace of abiding in Him.
And if you ask what exactly it is that you now have to believe that you may abide in Him, the
answer is not difficult. Believe, first of all what He says: I am the Vine. The safety and the
fruitfulness of the branches depend upon the strength of the vine. Think not so much of yourself
as a branch, nor of abiding as your duty, until you have first had your soul filled with the faith of
what Christ as the Vine is. He really will be to you all that a vine can be holding you fast,
nourishing you, and making Himself every moment responsible for your growth and your fruit.
Take time to know, set yourself heartily to believe: My Vine, on whom I can depend for all I need,
is Christ. A large, strong vine bears the feeble branch, and holds it more than the branch holds
the vine. Ask the Father by the holy Spirit to reveal to you what a glorious, loving, mighty Christ
this is, in whom you have your place and your life; it is the faith in what Christ is, more than
anything else, that will keep you abiding in Him. A soul filled with large thoughts of the Vine will
be a strong branch, and will abide confidently in Him. Be much occupied with Jesus, and believe
much in Him as the True Vine.
And then, when Faith can well say, He is my Vine, let it further say, I am His branch, I am in
Him. I speak to those who say they are Christs disciples, and on them I cannot too earnestly
press the importance of exercising their faith by saying, I am in Him it makes the abiding so
simple. If, as I meditate, I realize clearly Now I am in Him, I see at once that there is nothing
wanting but just my consent to be what He has made me to remain where He has placed me. I
am in Christ: this simple thought, carefully, prayerfully, believingly uttered, removes all difficulty
as if there were some great attainment to be reached. No, I am in Christ, my blessed Savior. His
love has prepared a home for me with Himself, when He says, Abide in my love and His power
has undertaken to watch the door and to keep me in, if I will but consent. I am in Christ: I have
now but to say, Savior, I bless Thee for this wondrous grace. I consent; I yield myself to Thy
gracious keeping; I do abide in Thee.
It is astonishing how such a faith will work out all that is further implied in abiding in Christ. There
is in the Christian life great need of watchfulness and of prayer, of self-denial and of striving, of
obedience and of diligence. But all things are possible to him that believeth. This is the victory
that overcometh even our faith. It is the faith that continually closes its eyes to the weakness
of the creature and finds its joy in the sufficiency of an Almighty Savior that makes the soul strong
and glad. It gives itself up to be led by the Holy Spirit into an ever-deeper appreciation of what
wonderful Savior whom God has given us the Infinite Emmanuel. It follows the leading of the
Spirit from page to page of the blessed Word, with the one desire to take each revelation of what
Jesus is and what He promises as its nourishment and its life. In accordance with the promise If

that which ye have heard from the beginning abide in you, ye also shall abide in the Son and in
the Father, it lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. And so it makes the
soul strong with the strength of God, to be and do all that is needed for abiding in Christ.
Believer, do you desire to abide in Christ? Only believe. Believe always; believe now. Bow even
now before your Lord, and say to Him in childlike faith that because He is your Vine and you are
His branch, you will this day abide in Him.

Additional verses:
Colossians 1: 15-17, 19-20, 22
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible
and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all
things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from
the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence.
19 For it pleased [the Father] that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things
unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven.
21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in [your] mind by wicked works,
yet now hath he reconciled
22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and
unreproveable in his sight:
Col 2: 6,7,10, 12, 14
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] walk ye in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught,
abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition
of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in
putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with [him] through the faith of
the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he
quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to
us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 [And] having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly,
triumphing over them in it.

Col 3:1-4, 12-17, 23,24

1. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth
on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, [who is] our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in
glory.
5. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness,
inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
12. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness,
humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against
any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye.
14 And above all these things [put on] charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one
body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing
one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts
to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving
thanks to God and the Father by him.
18. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
19 Husbands, love [your] wives, and be not bitter against them.
20 Children, obey [your] parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
21 Fathers, provoke not your children [to anger], lest they be discouraged.
22 Servants, obey in all things [your] masters according to the flesh; not with
eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
23 And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve
the Lord Christ.
Col 4:2
2. Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
II Cor 4:18
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:
for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are]
eternal.
II Cor 5:7
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

I Cor 10:13
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is]
faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the
temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].
I Cor 2:5
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Rom 8: 24-28, 31-32
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth,
why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, [then] do we with patience wait for [it].
26. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray
for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which
cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he
maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them
who are the called according to [his] purpose.
29. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image
of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them
he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31. What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with
him also freely give us all things?
Jn 15:7
7 If ye abide in me, and my words(Spoken Word - Rhema in greek) abide in you, ye
shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Prov 3:5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths
