AIEEE 2012 Instructions to Candidates

Prior to the exam: Upon receipt of admit card, check for the following details printed in the admit card o Exam details including the date and time of the exam, roll number and exam venue. o Check the correctness of name and Registration Number Read the instructions printed on the reverse side of the admit card. f candidate has not received the admit card on time, contact the AIEEE Helpline numbers: 8527557694 , 8527557482, 8527557572, 9717182698 , 9717182594. In case of loss of or damaged of the admit card, a duplicate admit card can be printed using candidates log in credentials which will be mailed to candidates email address (as entered in their application form) from the CBSE website Prior to the exam a candidate can also take up a mock test. The link for the mock test would be available on the CBSE website. On the Exam Day Candidates should carry the admit card for the exam along with a valid photo identity card, ( college/school identity card, drivers license, voters identity, passport, pan card, employer ID card or a notarized affidavit having your photo, date of birth and your residential address). This would be used by the invigilator to validate the identity along with the admit card. Candidate will not be allowed to appear for the exam, if the candidate fails to carry a valid photo identity proof. Candidate should reach the test center venue at least 1.5 hours prior to the exam. Candidate will not be allowed to enter the test center after 9:15 AM. Parents / Guardian will not be allowed to enter the test center premise. At the entrance of the test center premise, candidates will go through a security check where the security guard will check for the admit card and valid photo identity. Candidates are requested to wait in a queue for their turn. After entering the test center premise, candidate should look out for the message/ notice board to get the details of the directions to the exam lab from where the candidate will be appearing for the exam. Candidates can take help from security guards / volunteers at the test center in finding the location of exam lab. Candidates will be permitted to carry ONLY admit card, identity proof and pens, inside the test center room within the test center premise. Candidates will not be allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers, calculators, slide rules, log tables, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, pager, mobile phone, electronic device, bags, books, food packets or belongings or any other material inside the test center room. If a candidate has registered as a disabled candidate and has been approved for special tools such as a wheelchair or a hearing aid, they could bring the same to the test center.

Candidate should connect with the registration desk which would be available at the entrance of every test center room. As part of verification, candidate would be asked to share biometric finger prints and photo. As part of registration, candidate would be asked to sign the attendance sheet with pen. After successful registration, each candidate would be allocated a seat. Candidates should sit only on the allotted seats. Each candidate will be provided with rough sheets. Candidate to mention the admit card number in the rough sheet and ensure the invigilators signature is available on each paper. The exam will start at the scheduled time and end at the scheduled time for all candidates. Hence if a candidate starts the exam late, they would still need to end the exam as per the scheduled time for the entire test center. Candidates should listen carefully to the instructions shared by the invigilator as well as read the instructions displayed in the system, prior to the start of the exam. During the exam, if the candidate faces any technical issue, it should be immediately brought to the notice of the invigilator. During the exam, candidates will not be allowed to exit from the test center room / test center premise for any break. Consumption of Food and Beverages in the exam room is strictly prohibited. Smoking, consumption of liquor is strictly prohibited. Entire test center room will be under a movable surveillance camera and the entire session will be video recorded on a rotational basis. Exam would comprise of multiple choice questions with question number appearing at the top left of your screen. For every question, candidate will have to select the right option using the mouse. The Keyboard will be disabled till the candidate clicks on the submit button. If a candidate, by mistake, uses the keyboard, the exam will be locked. The candidate has to immediately report the incident to the invigilator and then the exam can be unlocked. Candidates will be allowed to change their response any time during the exam and there will be a timer at the top right of the screen to keep the candidate informed about the time left for the exam. Candidates will not be allowed to talk to other candidates or indulge in any malpractice during the exam. After completion of the exam, when the candidate wants to exit the session, candidate would need to confirm the exit. Candidate would then get a feedback form on the online assessment experience, which can be duly filled and submitted. Candidates will NOT be allowed to leave the test center room even if they finish the exam prior to the stipulated completion time. Candidates to remain seated at their allocated seat, until the exam time gets over. On the completion of the exam, candidates will have to hand over the scratch papers to the Invigilator who would then check and permit the candidate to exit the test center room. Candidates to collect all their belongings prior to leaving the test center premise.
