dogs that face euthanasia within days unless they are rescued, fostered, or adopted. Transport can be arranged, in most cases, to approved adoptive or foster homes or rescue organizations. Please help us! These are good, healthy, happy, loving dogs that are out of luck and out of time. GINGER

For the Animals, Christina, Kathy, Sherry, & Vicki

KEY: URGENT: Must moved this week. be

GINGER is a pixie in a dog suit. This girl is bright, affectionate, responsive, and inquisitive. She needs an experienced Britt owner. She is a petite 30-pounds with a ton of energy packed into that small frame. She makes great eye contact, looking to you for the next fun thing to do. She needs a secure fenced yard and lots of regular exercise. True to her Britt nature, she follows her nose. She loves excursions, such as jogs and hikes, and she adores nyla-bones to gnaw on. She gets along with most other dogs; she does not like pushy types, but would love to have a young and energetic dog of similar size to romp with. She would do well in obedience class, as she is food-motivated. Ginger is diagnosed as epileptic, but her condition is under control with simple, inexpensive medication that is given twice a day. Ginger is spayed, up to date on a vaccines, and microchipped. Ginger is in Laramie, WY. GIDGET is 5 years old, AKC-registered, and has been started on pheasant hunting. She has great potential to point and retrieve. She is good with people, loves to hike, and go for long walks. This girl is selective about her canine companions and would be best as an only dog. She needs a secure, 6-foot fence to keep her from going exploring on her own. Older children would be the best fit for her, due to her enthusiasm. She is a bigger girl, about 45 pounds, and she would welcome a chance to get lots of exercise to regain her girlish figure. Gidget is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and micro-chipped. Gidget is in Littleon, Colorado.

GIDGET

TIME LIMITED: Must be moved soon. Time can be extended if a place is found and transport is being arranged. SPECIAL NEEDS/ SENIOR: Must be moved soon. Time can be extended if a place is found and transport is being arranged. OTHER: In critical need of help but does not fit in another category (i.e., hit by car, needs donations for emergency surgery). UPDATE: Good news.

CHERI

We are CHERI and MERCI -- two loving French Brittanys who want to be your special girls! We had a rough start, and Cheri has had a head injury of some kind that makes her depend on me, Merci, to go first to check things out. Cheri has a healed scar on her

lip, but we think that makes her all the more distinctive! She may have diminished sight in the damaged side, but she is otherwise healthy. We are spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and micro-chipped. We are about 5-6 years old. Because of Cheris dependence on Merci, these girls must be adopted as a pair. They are being fostered in a home with a lively Weimaraner and a couple of Chihuahuas, so they get along fine with other dogs. They are looking for that FOREVER home that will cherish them! They are in Berthoud, CO. ____________

BANDIT

Time is of the essence for helping the dogs featured in the e-WOOF newsletters. Please contact the name/numbers for each dog before contacting eWOOF. In most cases, time is limited for the dogs featured in our newsletters--with that in mind, we try to get the word out to as many contacts as we can using this publication. Work on behalf of the animals for finding them homes and/ or rescues comes from many, many sources and is an ONGOING effort dealt with a sense of urgency. In some cases there may be times when a sudden adoption and/or rescue comes through at the exact time our newsletter is issued. This is an unforeseen circumstance on our part--while we certainly understand the crossover may cause frustrations for you as the prospective adopter of an animal we hope you join us in rejoicing for an animal being saved. We appreciate and thank you for your continued support FOR THE

PLEASE NOTE:

HERD of Wyoming Rescue -- Sheridan, WY Contact: Joan Adsit at 307-752-0812 or wyoasr@gmail.com http://www.herdofwy.com BANDIT is 12 or more years young. Imagine being a
senior like that and then suddenly finding yourself lost and in a shelter! She is a gentle old sweetie. She gets around pretty well, but is a bit deaf so certainly needs a fenced yard. She does have a few health issues, but nothing serious or imminently threatening, just the kinds of things that come with age: a few benign lumps, a heart murmur, and being a bit hard of hearing. Bandit would really like to have a home of her own to retire to and will reward you with love and companionship.

RAZZLE

RAZZLE is a 5 year old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie. He is a gorgeous dog who has been waiting for his forever home for 2 years. He loves to play ball. He has been started in basic agility. He loves hikes. Razzle does not do well in small confined spaces. We hope this sweetheart will finally get his chance at a home. JEDI is a small (30 lbs) white miniature Australian Shepherd/Heeler mix, 2 years old. He is full of character and likes to play tug, play with toys, and attack your feet as you walk. He has eyes of two different colors, but unlike some people may imagine this does not affect his vision at all, just adds to his character. Jedi does NOT particularly like men, however, and will need to go to a home with no men or with a very understanding man. Jedi would do best in a home without children. Jedi is fine with cats and likes to play with them. He is good with most dogs. Jedi likes to play and hike, but is not hyper or overactive. Jedi is neutered and current on vaccinations. ROPER is a 2.5 year old Australian Shepherd mix. He
has an easy to maintain coat and is a handsome guy. He is very affectionate, cuddly, and perhaps even needy with people he knows but is VERY leery of people he does not know, particularly men. His ideal home would be a confident, dog-experienced single female without children. We

SWEET PEA

Running out of resources! Salt Lake City, UT Contact: Tina Carrie at 385-232-4174, 801-559-1113 or csibert@slco.org SWEET PEA arrived at the shelter on 4-24-12 with a broken leg, which had to be amputated. Despite hundreds of contacts, no one has opened their heart and home to this sweet dispositioned, gentle, loving dog. Sweet Pea is housetrained, loves playing in water and is a cuddler supreme. She is a little slow warming up to men but with patience and gentleness has succeeded. Perhaps because of her recent injury, surgery, recovery, she is cautious of some dogs. A calm, quiet dog would work best with her. She is playful, gets around well, loves to be massaged, and is a devoted companion. Time has become important for Sweet Pea!

CHASE

ewoof@wyoming.com

Park County Animal Shelter -- Cody, WY Contact: 307-587-5110 or loveonaleash@tctwest.net CHASE. Chase is a two year old lab/German Shorthair mix. His owner brought him to us because her two young children were crawling on Chase and pulling his ears, which would irritate him and he could get snappy with very young children. Chase listens well and is very popular at the dog park! He loves to play and go for walks. He is VERY loving and gets along with most other dogs. SADIE is a 1 year old lab mix. Sadie is very sweet, but
is somewhat fearful of children. She loves to play outside and play fetch. She is also good with most other dogs. She would be great in a home that doesnt have young children.

SKIPPY is a 1 year old Brittany Spaniel mix. He is very

Rawlins Rochelle Animal Shelter -Rawlins, WY Contact: 307-328-4534 or Dean Hagood at wdhagoodii@gmail.com RAIDER is a adult male lab/mix. He is a very fun dog. He gets along well with most dogs with the proper introduction. He is still a puppy at heart and likes to chew so he would need some toys to play with. This boy would love to go on walks with you by day and curl up by you at night. SLIM is a very happy 2 - 3 year old male Lab/mix. It seems
like he would get along with anyone. He does good with other dogs. He is pretty playful and would make a wonderful companion. He would be a great guy to take on walks or hikes.

Caring, Learning, Connecting Rescue and Rehabilitation Contact: Christi Chapman at 307-320-5214 or rescuerehabilitation@hotmail.com ROSCOE is a Beagle/Shar Pei and possibly Chow mix. He is the sweetest guy, so willing to please. He is great with female dogs and has been around children but he is a little wiggly yet, and still learning that his bulk can be a bit like being hit by an out of control bowling ball! He is a solid tank, and he just LOVES people so much he wants to be with them all of the time. Roscoe is not recommended for a home with a male dog, as he still has too much testosterone in his system and he is accustomed to fighting for the right to breed and eat. A true gentleman with the ladies though! He LOVES FOOD, but cats were a source of food for him in the hoarding situation he came from, so he is also not recommended for a home with cats. ____________ URGENT - Casper, WY Contact: Cathy Corbin at 307-267-6524 or rescuerangers2@yahoo.com VELVET is a Lab mix, 2 years old. My name is Velvet. I am a sweet girl who is friendly, playful, and happy. I like people and other dogs, and I enjoy going for a walk. I am a quiet girl, and I like pets and other attention. I am looking for a second chance in life. Please come meet me and lets go for a walk. Just a few minutes with me, and Ill bet you will want to adopt me and take me home! QUIXOTE, an English Coonhound mix, 1 year old, is a very good looking dog who is friendly, sweet, and fun. He likes people and other dogs. Hey everybody as you can see, I am a stocky build. I am quiet, and I enjoy pets. I like to go for a walk and do lots of sniffing. I think Im too short to be a hound mix. As you can see, I have some great markings on my head. Why dont you come introduce yourself to me, we can go for a walk, and you just might want to adopt me. Im waiting at the pound! POWDER is an Akbash mix, 6 years old. My name is
Powder. I am a beautiful Akbash mix. Like most Akbash dogs, I am not doing well in my cage. I like going for a walk. I am a quiet, gentle, and sweet girl who is looking for a new forever home. I hope someone will adopt me and give me a second chance. You can find me at the pound. may remember me from another issue. I want to give everyone an update. I am still waiting at the pound, hoping and praying for a new forever home. What I want to let everyone know is that I have lost weight while being in the pound, and as I continue to lose weight, I am becoming more animated. I am still a laid back dude, but I am happier and can hoof it right along with everyone else on a walk. I am still calm and quiet , and I still like people and other dogs. Wont someone please come meet me? You will be able to see for yourself what a cool guy I am! RUSTY
