Rules & Policies for PGDM Campus Recruitment 2012 A - Post Selection Policy
Once a student is selected in any company, he/she WILL HAVE TO ACCEPT THE OFFER and will be signing out of further campus recruitment process. All attempts will be made by the Placement Committee to get the profile/ compensation of the companies well in advance. However, in case it is not possible, the rule shall remain applicable.

B - Preference Procedure
1. Students have to give their sector preferences (4 preferences) ranking them as 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. 2. Students opting a particular sector as Preference 1 have to attend all the companies from the sector. Not attending will still be considered as an attempt. Attempt definition would remain the same as defined in policy-D when a student attends a company. However, students can opt out 2 companies from Preference 1 sector without losing attempt. Note: Students having a different sector as Preference 1 are not restricted from sitting for a particular sector.

C - PPO Policy
A PPO (Pre-Placement Offer) will be considered as the first job for the concerned student. There are 2 options available for a student who is being offered a PPO, either to accept the offer or to reject it outright. Those who have got a PPO should convey their option to the Placecom (Student Placement Committee) in writing. 1. If the concerned student accepts the PPO offered by the company then he/ she should sign out of the placement process immediately. This is to ensure that no positions offered by this recruiting company are missed out to the institute. However the student

In case of rejection, the PPO offer made by the company is immediately rejected. The candidate can then participate in the placement process and any offer afterward will be second and final offer for him.

D - Policy on Attempts
Each candidate is allowed 6 attempts in all. An attempt will be counted when the student have got the opportunity to sit/ has been shortlisted, for the final interview. E.g. Applying by sending/ submitting CV and not getting short listed will not be counted as an attempt.

E Policy for the student who has exhausted his/her quota of 6 attempts
1. One has to sign out of the process in writing. 2. Such students can attend the placement process again only if all other students get placed/ all others exhausted their quota too.

F Policy on the Placement talks

1. All students must attend every placement talk called by the student Placecom or the faculty Placecom. If anyone is found not attending more than 3 placement talks, it would mean that the person is not interested in placements and hence, would be eliminated from the placement process*. *The discretion/ decision of Placecom will be final. 2. A placement talk will be organized by the student Placecom fortnightly, where students will be informed about the progress in the placement process. Placecom would be open to queries/ suggestions from all. Note: Placecom will be transparent in its functioning, to a fair extend. However the level of secrecy to be maintained will be decided by the committee members. Page | 2

G - Policy for students opting for Off- Campus Placement

1. If a student is opting for off-campus placement and does not wish to take part in the college placement, he/ she should inform the PC in writing as soon as he/ she is sure about it. He/ she will then be eliminated from further placement process. 2. In case a student doesnt inform the PC about his Off Campus selection and sits in the placement process and finally opts for the Off campus company, he/ she wont be offered the PGDM Certificate and other disciplinary actions will be taken against that student.

H - Policy regarding Social Media

Students are expected to maintain high discipline regarding social media networking when it comes to placements. Any violation/ sharing of crucial information (e.g. posting in Facebook about visit of a company for placements on a particular date), or defaming the institute and its interest regarding placements in internet, if found, would result in disciplinary action which may even lead to even withholding his/ her PGDM certificate. Your selection/ achievement should not be posted in any social media till December as it can adversely affect the decision of others companies in the same sector who might visit the campus later.

I - General Note
1. Any Grievance at any stage should be addressed to Student Coordinator for Placements. 2. If required, any of the above mentioned rules can be changed with the discretion of Faculty and the Student Placecom in case the situation arises.
