NEW! MOMMY & BABY FITNESS
(MOMS W/BABIES THAT CAN BE HELD IN CARRIERS)

This class is a great way to get back in shape after having a baby! We will be using CrossFit methodologies including weight lifting, modified plyometrics, gymnastics, mobility and cardio endurance. Moms will participate while having their baby attached to them in a baby carrier. This class will offer a fun and safe workout environment. FIT, FUN AND 2! (AGE 2)

A colorful mix of dance, play and movement designed to support physical fitness, encourage ecstatic expression and nurture self-esteem. Circus, theatre and dance inspired Hoop Dance tricks and techniques are shared in each Kids Hoop Class. All classes allow students the opportunity to share what they have learned through dance, play, performances and hoop games. Preschool/Youth/Teen
Todays fencing is a unique and fun sport. Come learn the modern sport of sword fighting. This program teaches the basics of footwork, blade work and fencing tactics. Rochester is one of the premier training centers in the country and has produced National Champions, World Champions and Olympians. All equipment provided. INTRO TO FENCING (AGES 7-12)

Sporty Sprouts is a popular pre-school, tri-sports program for boys and girls. Children will be introduced to basketball, soccer and tennis in a fun, fast paced setting. Our goal is to spark your childs curiosity for sports by teaching the basic skills through age adaptive equipment and games. This is not a parent participation class. ROOKIE SPORTS: TRACK & FIELD (AGES 4-5)

Start your weekend off with some fun! Partner with your toddler in simple animated yoga poses, games, music and breathing exercises that help strengthen coordination and build body awareness. The goal of these programs are to teach basic strokes and later to put them into drills and games that will show tennis can be a lot of fun to play. For players who are intermediate or advanced level, the drills will not only teach fundamental but show them how to incorporate the skills into strategies that will help them when playing matches. Spend 2 evenings creating a one-of-a kind scrapbook thats all about you! Bring any photos youd like that tell a story about you! You can bring up to 35 photos. All other scrapbooking supplies, decorations, etc. will be provided by Creative Memories. After two nights you will leave with a complete 8X8 scrapbook that you created all on your own! Registration Information
Please fill out the registration form on page 14. Mail and online registration begins with a postmark of August 24. Drop box registration begins August 27. Non-residents register beginning August 31. Early postmark or drop box will be processed with second days mail.
Program Code Numbers
Code numbers are listed below the class description. These codes are very important. Please accurately fill in the code number on the registration form.

Wait List

Class Cancellation

All Parks & Recreation programs are run assuming minimum numbers are met. If registration does not meet the stated minimum, we will cancel the program a few days before it is set to begin, and participants will receive a full refund. In case of class cancellation due to weather or facility conflict, an attempt will be made to offer a make-up class. There will be no refund. Call 336-6070 for daily recreational information and class cancellations.

Wait list are kept for classes that have reached maximum enrollment. Parks & Recreation makes every possible effort to add or expand these classes, depending on instructor and space availability. Participants will be contacted by the Parks & Recreation office if a class is filled and they are put on a wait list. Names will remain on the wait list until the day the program begins, in case an opening becomes available. Participants will be contacted if an opening becomes available.

Photo Policy

Registration

Mail or drop box registrations can be paid by Visa, MasterCard, or personal checks. When registering more than one person, please send SEPARATE payment for each person per program. If you want to be in the same program with another person (residents only), send ALL items together in ONE envelope and make note of your request. Make checks payable to Irondequoit Parks & Recreation Department. Please sign check. Returned check charge is $25.00. Program and check fees must be paid in cash only. Transfer fee is $5.00.

Occasionally, photos may be taken of participants in the programs, classes, and activities, or of people in the Towns parks. Please note that these photos may be used in future brochures, website, pamphlets, flyers, or news releases.

Behavior

Refund Policy

Registration fees for programs cancelled by Parks & Recreation will be fully refunded. Our instructors, in general, are hired on the basis of enrollment. For this reason, participant cancellations will be eligible for a refund ONLY in instances of a serious medical condition with a physicians note. Refunds will be prorated from the time of notification or receipt of physicians note, and a $10 fee will be assessed. No refunds will be given after 50% of the program has elapsed. Refunds may take up to 7 weeks.

In keeping with our program goals, we encourage fun for all of our participants. However, certain rules are necessary to ensure everyones safety and enjoyment. Participants are expected to: 1. Show respect for all participants and staff. 2. Refrain from using foul language. 3. Refrain from causing bodily harm to other participants or staff. 4. Respect all equipment, supplies, and facilities. 5. Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to suspend a participant for inappropriate behavior or for safety reasons.

Pre-registration for all programs is required unless otherwise noted. The deadline for registration is 5 days prior to program start. Additional registrations will be accepted if space permits. All fees must accompany registration.

Parks & Recreation / Senior Center

The Irondequoit Division of Parks offers 150 acres of parkland including five play spaces, athletic fields and an artificial turf complex. Camp Eastman, home to Oktoberfest, offers 90 acres of active and passive recreation. In addition, five cabins/lodges are available to rent for parties, gatherings, meetings and more. Socialize, eat, and exercise in the company of good friends. Located at the 154 Pinegrove Avenue, the Senior program offers a variety of social, recreational and educational programs for citizens. Hours: Monday-Friday (except Town holidays) 9:00 am-3:45 pm Meet Here, Eat Here: Lunch (11:15 am-12:15 pm) offerings include a hot entre or soup and sandwich. Coffee is a quarter a cup all day everyday. All lunch combinations are $2.50 donations for ages 60 and over, and $4 for ages under 60. Group Reservations: Want group privacy? For groups of 30 or more, we will set up a special room and serve your lunch. Group reservations must be made a month in advance. Daily reservations are accepted; please call 336-6077 Transportation: Medical Motor Service in Irondequoit provides transportation for nondrivers at $2/day. Please call 336-6077 before 9:00AM for reservations and guidelines for transportation. Services: A caseworker is available on Mondays from 9:30AM to 12:00PM. No appointment necessary.
