KNOWN ISSUES *********************************************************************** Dropping of the suffix if the PrinterName exceeds 31 characters in Win 9x and Wi n ME ******************************************************************************** **** If you run the driver installer in its maintenance mode (Win 9x and Win ME) and it finds a PrinterName with more than 31 characters, the suffix part of the name is dropped. a) When adding a 110plus nr printer using the installer's maintenance mode, the suffix part of the printer name is dropped. In the "printers" folder the printer name appears as "HP Designjet 110plus n r_2" instead of "HP Designjet 110plus nr_2 110plus nr". b) If you use the installer's maintenance mode to install the 110plus nr driver and you have selected 110plus and 110plus nr, the suffix part of the 110plus nr printer n ame is dropped. In the "printers" folder the printer name appears as "HP Designjet 110plus n r_2" instead of "HP Designjet 110plus nr_2 110plus nr".

workAround: None Selection of a different printer in Network Installation ******************************************************** The "Installation Type" dialog box is not refreshed on selecting a different printer model in Network Installation. During the first time installation using the "Basic Network" option say 'HP Designjet 110plus' is selected for installation. Then in the list box of the "Installation Type" dialog the chosen printer appears. On Clicking "Back" in this dialog box, the 'HP Designjet 110plus nr' printer is selected in the "Printers Found" dialog box. Now, on clicking "Next", when the "Installation Type" dialog is displayed, the new printer selection is not reflected both in typical and custom installation. WorkAround: None AutoCAD and SMT installation selection in maintenance mode ********************************************************** When AutoCAD is selected or deselected during the first time of installation, the installation works as intended. If the ADI installer is launched during the first time of installation and then again later in maintenance mode, the ADI option is selected by default. If the installation is continued, the ADI installer does not launch. The same behaviour happens with the System Maintenance Tool (SMT) installation. WorkAround: It is launched only on selecting the second option (i.e., This feature, and all sub features, will be installed on local hard drive. ) in the custom dialog. If the ADI option is deselected then it is not launched. Similar workaround can be followed for SMT also. Driver upgrade issue ******************** If an HP Designjet 110plus series printer is already installed, then on launchin g the HP Desigjnet 110plus series installer, the "Replace Driver" dialog is displayed. In the "Replace Driver" dialog, selecting either the "Keep existing driver" option or the "Replace existing driver" option always results in replaci ng the existing driver. Moreover, an extra copy of the printer is created in the "Printers" folder rather than just updating the driver associated with the print er already present. WorkAround: None. Installation when the status monitor of "All-in-one" device is running ***********************************************************************

If any of the "All-in-one" devices are installed and the 'Status monitor' of the device is running, the driver installation for the HP Designjet 110plus series will not proceed as expected. WorkAround: None.
