PROBLEM: ADSL LAMP UNSTABLE IN MT882 MODEM SOLUTION: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Open Modem Page 192.168.1.1. Enter user name & password as admin & admin. Go to setup page and click on "Modem" Select "NO_MODE" to disable all the ADSL Modes. Select ADSL_2PLUS mode Click on Apply to save settings. Go to Tools, click on system commands, save all the settings. Restart the modem.

After this Configuration ADSL Lamp get Stable. In case Problem still not resolved then Port and Line testing is required.

PROBLEM: ADSL LAMP UNSTABLE IN MT882, TKD, D-Link SOLUTION: 1. Check the line status and connectivity of jumper (loose connection or poor quality). 2. In case of MT882 follow Problem1 otherwise Port is suspected to faulty in other cases.

PROBLEM: MODEM STATUS NOT CONNECTED (ADSL STABLE) SOLUTION: 1. Open the ADSL Router Page 192.168.1.1 and Enter Username & Password as admin & admin. 2. Use Testing User (Username, Password) as provided by NOC in place of Phone Number and CA Number. 3. Check PPPoE Connection status(ADSL) and also Check Browsing. If Connected and Browsing OK ,then Escalate this Problem to 1504 (Customer Care) or RADIUS Server Team (sdesys1@bol.net.in) for Authentication Check,UserPassword Reset, LAN Release etc. 4. If PPPoE Connection Status is UP and still No browsing with testing User Account, then configure the modem from PPPoE to Bridge Mode.Create a PPPoE Dialer Account with Phone Number and CA as Username & Password. 5. Check PPPoE Error Number using PPPoE DIALER. Note Down this PPPoE Error Number. 6. If Error Number is 678 then check the Config of Modem and also Connectivity between PC & CPE.If OK then Escalate this complains to 1504(Customer Care)/BB-NOC for Fault Checking in BB- Network.In Case Error No.691 then Escalate this Problem to 1504 (Customer Care) for Radius Check.

PROBLEM : WIFI Modem Setting of TKD 318 EW SOLUTION: 1. 2. 3. 4. Open the Modem Page 192.168.1.1 and Do the BASIC Setting. Go to ADVANCE and Select ADSL. Select G.dmt instead of ADSL_2PLUS Save and Reboot.

PROBLEM: BRIDGE Modem Configuration for Different Types of ADSL Router.

TYPE 1: T-KD 318 UTSTARCOM

1. Choose the Bridge Mode option in the WAN Settings section. 2. Choose the Connection Type from the pull-down menu- 1483 Bridged IP LLC 3. Click on the Apply button.

TYPE2 : DSL 502T DLINK

Bridge Mode 1. If your selected Bridge Mode, you will see the above page. Enter in VPI=0, VCI=32 2. Select your connection type- 1483 Bridged IP LLC 3. Click Next button.

TYPE 3: MT882-SOTL

1. Go to setup and Click on Triband 2. Click on Delete to Delete the Triband profile which are using VPI/VCI Values as 0/32. 3. Click on New Connection. Select Type as Bridge from Drop Down button. Name it as Bridge. Enter VPI/VCI Values as 0/32. Click on Apply to Create new Bridge Connection Profile as shown in below figures.

4. Click on LAN Configuration. Select on pvc1. Click on Remove to Remove the PVC1 Profile from LAN Group1 as shown in below figures.

Click on Tools to Open System Commands. Click on System Command then Save all & Restart the modem.

By using PPPoE Dialer We can create the Bridge Connection using ISP User name & Password

PPPoE DIALER CONFIGURATION : Windows Vista

Step 1: Right click on the icon as pointed in taskbar and Select Network and Sharing Center.

Step 2: Click Set up a Connection or Network from the left menu.

Step 3 : Select Connect to a network.

Step 4 : Select Connect to the Internet and click next

Step 5 : Select and click Broadband (PPPoE).

Step 6 : Enter Phone Number in User name and CA in Password with Connection name MTNL. Then click Connect.

Type the information from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) screen will appear.Enter Username (Phone Number) and Password (CA No.) and then Click Connect.

PPPoE DIALER Configuration: Windows XP

Click on the Start menu. Move your mouse over Settings and click on Control Panel.

Note: If you are running Windows XP in classic mode, you will need to select the Start menu, select Settings, then choose Control Panel

Click the Switch to Classic View icon

Double-click the Network Connections icon

Click the Create a new connection icon

Click the Next button.

Select Connect to the Internet. Click the Next button.

Select Set up my connection manually. Click the Next button

Select Connect using a broadband connection that requires username and password.Click the Next button.In the ISP Name field, enter MTNL to identify your connection. Click the Next button.

In the User name : field, type Phone Number and Password : CA Number and click the Next button.

10. Check the box next to Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop if you wish to have a shortcut to the connection on your desktop. Click the Finish button.

Now you can see a MTNL - dialer icon added to the Network Connections window. A short cut to this dialer can also be seen on your desk top. Henceforth, simply double-click on any one of these icons and Click on Connect. Just wait for a few seconds to get connected after authentication of your username and password and start browsing.

RUN: Running status LED, green 1s on and 1s off repeatedly 0.25s on and 0.25s off repeatedly The board works in the normal state. The board starts loading.

ACT: Active LED On Off The board is active. The board is standby.

RESET: Reset button, used to reset the board manually. Caution: Resetting the board may interrupt the services. Exercise caution when using the reset button.

STEP 1: Open Web Browser and Type site name http://register.bol.net.in

STEP 2: Enter Phone Number in Username and CA Number in Password.

STEP 3: On Entering and Login with Username and Password on previous Web-Page, it will direct to new Web-Page.

STEP 4: In this New Web-Page Enter Phone Number in format abcdefg@mtnl and Password CA number.Click Login then will be directed to Usage information.
