If you crave for meat, the slow roasted lamb shanks are divine. Tender at the bone, the lamb boasts a well-roasted flavour and trotters well with the superb, red wine sauce. Complete the enjoyment by sucking out the decadent marrow with a straw.

Other worthy bites: After devouring the cold cheeses, warm your tummy with the healthful chickpea and truffle soup (below) or zesty-fruity tomato soup. Dad and junior should dig obdiently into the Mac & Cheese in a baked pumpkin.

Nurse a dessert wine with the lemon-scented panna cotta with balsamic-vinegar-marinated chopped strawberries. Or crush the Mafia Cannoli with just two bites.

When to go: Open daily, 12pm to 3pm; and 6pm to 11pm. How much: $20 for a cheese dish, $25 for pasta, $30 or $35 for a grilled or roast main course.

Melting Mozzarella in a breaded battered ball, served with a tomato sauce, is an enjoyment

of textures and flavours.

A fruity and zesty tomato soup makes you feel totally at home at the Latteria.

Vongole Pasta made with fresh clams is a faavourite.

From now till Dec 31, 2012: Citibank cardmembers get a complimentary pasta (bolognese, carbonara, pomodoro) and ice cream (vanilla, strawberry, chocolate) for their kids 12 years old and below.
