AUGUST 20, 2011 The process for the Uwamwima Executive Committee general elections began August 1, 2011, through a delegate system, where member farmers in their electoral Zones conducted a supervised election. Knowing all the newly elected members, if support continues to flow, I am confident they will work together and take Uwamwima forward to a whole new dimension. These are members of their own community who know them better than anyone else. Their communities have faith in them, and have elected them. On our part here, VSO, TAPP/FINTRAC/USAID personnel, we have embraced and congratulated the new executive committee and will work together and also provide them with the full support they expect and need from us. Uwamwima did personally recognize the presence and support from VSO, TAPP/FINTRAC/USAD. They appreciated the financial aid, technological and marketing advice they receive from VSO, TAPP/FINTRAC/USAD. We were all given the opportunity to address the attendees.
