FOREWARD
I am very happy to write the foreword of this poetry Volume.

Dr. Ram Sharma is my spiritual brother and who lifted my consciousness to the ultimate. I am working as a senior professor in the department of Mechanical Nuclear Engineering at Iowa State University, U.S.A My spiritual journey started when my Indian student used to bring me statues of Natraja and Ganesha. These two Gods attracted me towards Vedic culture. Although I am related with Sri. Paramahansa Yogananda (YSS Society SRF, Los Angeles, California 90065-3298 U.S.A.) from last thirty years. I and Dr. Ram, Are on a mission of divine oneness and Universality. I do hope this poetry volume will prove a foundation stone in Universal Spirituality. PREFACE Spirituality starts blossoming when you start thinking about others and you come out from your selfish cocoon and try to feel the pangs of others sufferings. In this world full of sufferings, a cool breeze is needed. We should try same identity. Our positive thoughts and our love will help a flower to bloom on the other side, our love will help a flower to bloom on the other side our negative thoughts will create negative energy like diseases and disasters. Mahatma Gandhi has asserted "no effort is complete without prayer - without definite recognition" that the best human endeavor is of no effort if it has not God's Blessing behind. In this poetry volume I have tried to come out from my own selfish world. This poetry volume is a small step toward my broader vision of Advanced Institute of Universal (AIUS) because we are all One. In the words of Paramahansa Yogananda "Let us pray in our hearts for a League of Souls and a united world. Though we may seem divided by race, creed, colour, class and political prejudices, still, as children of the One God we are able in our souls to feel brotherhood and world unity. Lord Buddha
Born as a prince Surrounded in luxury Couldnt tolerate the misery of the world Left his princess and new born son Went in search of truth At last attained the enlightenment And became BUDDHA [enlightened] Dr. Ram Sharma

GOAL
You, incarnations of God You, incarnations of Almighty Omnipresent, Divine Knowledge uncovered Knowledge of God Himself Discovering of the innate Divinity Is the Goal Dr. Ram Sharma

THOU
Thou the body Thou the soul Thou art my greatest friend Thou art my greatest enemy Thou has element of good in you Thou has element of badness in you Thou are the master Thou are the servant Make yourself a flute With emotions, sensations And sing the song of Life Dr. Ram Sharma

BALLOON
Man is a balloon Puffed with pride Ego, jealousy and greed Respect others and pay heed Sing the song of life Share the grieves of others Let others blossom Dr. Ram Sharma

DIVINITY
Our souls Under clouds Of attachment, of Illusions All souls as ONE Behave in good manner With other souls Not to injure any In any way Other souls Have no sex, no caste, no creed, no religion No discrimination Religion is manifestation Of Divinity Dr. Ram Sharma

PLEASURES
Are not in materialistic things But in without materialistic things Pleasures Are not in excess But in limitations Pleasures Are not in mirage But in satisfaction Om shantih, shantih, shantih Dr. Ram Sharma

I AM
I am the truth and untruth I am holy and unholy I am the barbarian and the civilized I am the darkness and the light I am two sides Of the same coin Let Almighty help me to search Myself and to let Him join Dr. Ram Sharma

TEACHER OF TEACHERS
I want peace Meditating near calm serene blue lake Blossoming mind like a lotus Singing lifes swan song Becoming one with nature O teachers of teachers Come and lead me Where there is no sorrow No separation No loneliness Dr. Ram Sharma

OM SHANTI OM
Asian [posture] Cross legged Sitting neat the silent serene river Losing the feeling of body Limbs ~ motionless Mind blossomed like a lake Joy, Peace Om shanti concentration Dr. Ram Sharma

MONEY
You can purchase statues of gold But not God You can purchase medicines But not death You can purchase books But not true knowledge You can purchase bed But not sleep You can purchase everything by money But not self~satisfaction Dr. Ram Sharma

I WORSHIP YOU
I worship you Lord Krishna You save many devotee Out of turmoil, you make us tension free Those who merge their Identity with you They lead a joyful life For The have a clue how great are you Who brings a spell of happiness in their strife Who brings satisfaction in their lives Who produce delight and might Who chant Hare Krishna day and night Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna Dr. Ram Sharma

I have seen Man but not human I have seen Faces but not face I have seen Friends but not friendship I have seen Sayings but not doings I have seen Degrees but not wisdom Dr. Ram Sharma

YOU CAN`T COUNT

You cant count The depth Of a mothers heart You cant measure The height of the sky You can`t know uneasiness Of a strangers love You cant count The heart beat and sun rays And pity of Almighty Dr. Ram Sharma

LIFE
Everyone like life Everyone likes pleasures Everyone takes grieves Everyone likes to live So dont kill anyone To whom you want to kill Is you To whom you want to rule Is you To whom you want to curse Is you Follow the truth of the way Reflect on it. Make it your own. Live it It will always sustain you Do not turn away from what is given you, Nor reach out for what is given to others, Lest you disturb your quietness. Dr. Ram Sharma

WHAT IS RELIGION

WHAT IS OUT AIM OF LIFE?

One question is haunting me again and again What is the aim of our life? Is it just to earn money? Everyone is running in this blind race Race of earning money All our sensibilities have disappeared That remains no different between man and animal We dont know Dr. Ram Sharma

THE HIMALAYA
Cool serene shelter Shades of different trees and birds chatter Snow capped mountains shine Large sky of spirituality Communication of Great Hermits and Divinity Transportation From physical body to divine Dr. Ram Sharma

O'LORD
We have no existence without You We can`t breathe without You We are born to serve You We are Thine O Lord Dr. Ram Sharma

SELF REALIZATION
Be calm Have serene look Steadfast in all circumstances Have tranquility I ones body, mind and soul Contemplation Highest state of realization Destroy Impurities of mind Encourage us Bless us with vision of Truth Have faith and courage Dr. Ram Sharma

FEAR NOT
Why fear From sorrows I am That I have courage Fear is death Establish in the Atman Burn bondages of Karma With the fire of Knowledge Self Realization Drive away Fear Dr. Ram Sharma

FATHER
I AM THE ATMAN I am free From any bondages There are no illusions I am the immortal knowledge I am the infinite I am the Atman I am the absence of bliss Dr. Ram Sharma

OM
First sound of the Universe Holiest of Holy Words Sacred name of indescribable One Healer of all tensions OUUUUVVM OF OM-OM Dr. Ram Sharma

O! LORD I WANT THEE

I want neither nectar Nor poison I want neither money Nor power Neither name Nor fame I want satisfaction I want peace and calm inside I want Refuge in Thou O! Lord I want Thee Dr. Ram Sharma

I AM THINE
I have drank The cup of love Of thine I have become mad In the love of thine I am part of thou I have forgotten all I have plunged in thou Because I am Thine I am Thine Dr. Ram Sharma

WORSHIP

LOVE
Love created by separation Separation between soul and man Between soul and God Between lover and beloved We are all one We have one entity Alas! We are separated To love Our Maker Love is Eternal endless sacrifice We want One kiss of Thou We want love of Thine Dr. Ram Sharma

INFINITE
All bodies are thine bodies But still thou has no body All hands are thine hands But still thou has no hands All eyes are thine eyes But still thou has no eyes All creations your own creations All are thine manifestations O! Lord thou art infinite Dr. Ram Sharma

BOAT OF MY LIFE
Boat of my life is dwindling I am caught in sensual pleasures I want to sing lifes swan song I am caught in illusion I am caught in egos I am caught in attachment O! Boatman come Guide me To cross the ocean of morality And lead me into immortality Dr. Ram Sharma
