BROAD AREAS OF CHRISTIAN SERVICE DEFINED Nurture: is the area of service which concentrates on the spiritual growth and development of the members within the church body. Outreach: is the service of the church which reaches out to the community at large with the claims of the everlasting gospel. This ministry directs its efforts towards the process of helping others learn and practice the full benefits of discipleship. Leadership: is the service that involves giving direction to an area of ministry for Christ. It often involves foresight, organizational abilities, and people skills. Maintenance: involves the willingness to help provide and maintain the necessary facilities and equipment for the ministry of the church. The diversity of gifts needed in this area of service is especially large. Financial Management: is the area of service where administrative and management skills as well as financial acumen is needed.
