STEPS TO PEACE WITH GOD

1. GODS PLAN -- PEACE AND LIFE: God loves you and wants you to experience His peace and life. The BIBLE says...For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (KJV) 2. MANS PROBLEM -- SEPARATION: Being at peace with God is not automatic because you by nature are separated from God. The BIBLE says...For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 (NIV) 3. GODS REMEDY -- THE CROSS: Gods love bridges the gap of separation between God and you. When Jesus Christ died on the Cross and rose from the grave, He paid the penalty for your sins (yours and mine --not his--because Jesus was sinless). The BIBLE says...He personally carried the load of ours sins on his own body when he died on the cross...1 Peter 2:24 (TLB) 4. MANS RESPONSE -- RECEIVE CHRIST: You must cross the bridge into Gods family when you receive Christ by personal invitation. The BIBLE says...But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name... John 1:12 (NASB) To receive Christ you need to do four things: 1) ADMIT your spiritual need. I am a sinner. 2) REPENT and be willing to turn form your sin. 3) BELIEVE that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross. 4) RECEIVE, through prayer, Jesus Christ into your heart and life. The Bible says (Christ is speaking), Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in... Revelation 3:20, (KJV) Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved. Romans 10:13 (NIV) WHAT TO PRAY: Dear Lord Jesus: I know I am a sinner. I believe you died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and my life. I receive you as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me. Amen * After leading the inquirer in the above prayer, confirm his decision by sharing the next page.

CONFIRMING THE DECISION TO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST INTO YOUR LIFE You prayed, committing your life to Christ. What does the Bible say happened? 1. You are saved. Jesus said, I am the door; if anyone enters by me, he will be saved. John 10:9 (RSV) What did Jesus say about Himself? I am the door (to eternal life). What will happen when a person enters (receives Christ)? He will be saved. The BIBLE says...Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20 (KJV) The BIBLE says...Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved. Romans 10:13 (NIV) 2. You are a Child of God: The BIBLE says, But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even those who believe in His name. John 1:12 (NASB) What happened when you received Him? I became a child of God. 3. You have eternal life. The BIBLE says, For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in HIM should not perish be have eternal life. John 3:16 (RSV) Now that you believe in Jesus Christ, what can you say with assurance? I have eternal life. To summarize, emphasize the following questions and answers: How do you know .... I know because... You are saved? God said it... in his Word You are a child of God? I believe it ... In my heart You have eternal life? That settles it... In my mind CONFIRMING THE DECISION TO RECEIVE CHRIST After sharing Christ and confirming the decision, point out these follow-up steps: 1. Take a firm stand for Christ. Tell someone about your decision. 2. Read and study Gods Word. 3. Pray every day. 4. Identify with a Bible-teaching church for worship, fellowship, and service

Healing Key Promise: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (3 John 2). The Psalmist give us a wonderful prayer promise that emphasizes this truth: O lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou has healed me (Ps. 30:2). The Scriptures show us that God wants us to walk in good health. The Psalmist wrote, Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases (Ps. 103:3). He also gave us a promise that we can count on: He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds (Ps. 147:3). God promises to heal us when we are sick. Jesus is the Great Physician of our souls and bodies. With his stripes we are healed (Isa.53:5). The torture and death Jesus experienced on the cross for us enables us to receive the healing God has provided for His people. In fact, it is the prayer of faith that heals the sick as James points out: Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up (James 5:14-15). Promise--Prayer of Healing Lord, I believe your Word which promises me that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. When He walked on earth, He went about all the cities and villages, teaching in the synagogues, and preaching the gospel of your kingdom. He also healed every sickness an disease among the people. I believe He is still the same, and I know He wants to heal me when I am sick. Thank you, Father. Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise. I praise you, mighty Father. You forgive all my iniquities, and you heal all my diseases. Thank you, Lord. When I am sick, you send your Word, and it heals me and delivers me from all destruction. Your Word is life to me, and it brings healing to my flesh. Thank you for the healing power of your Word, Father. I will never let it depart from my eyes. I will keep your Word deeply implanted within my heart. Praise your name, Holy Father. I love you, and I thank you for healing me and keeping me in good health.
