NTTA Program Implementation : COMPETENCY BASED TRAINING (CBT ) RESPONSIBILITIES: The TTI through the ADMINISTRATORs and VIS

will assess the readiness of the school to implement and facilitate action to comply with the requirements of CBT. VIS (TET HEAD) : Shall be responsible in monitoring the implementation of the CBT delivery approach. TRAINER : As the main actor in the CBT laboratory shall prepare, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the CBT delivery. Prepares CBT materials and facilities CBT layout (practical work area, contextual area,
computer area, quality control area, distance learning area, learning resource area, trainers resource area, bulletin board for the trainers NC, etc) session plan,

CBLM, Training Activity Matrix, Progress Chart, Achievement Chart, Inventory of Training Materials, Institutional Competency Assessment tools, Pre-Test, RPL Materials, Questionnaires for determining training characteristics, Trainees record book. Prepare recommendations based on the results of the program evaluation analysis and the pre-test /post test analysis. The trainer will : 1. The trainer will conduct orientation on Principles of CBT, how to use CBLM, requirements of the course, evaluation/rating system 2. Before the training, the trainer will conduct pre-test, determine trainees characteristics, determine training needs of each trainee. 3.During the training, the trainer will assign trainees to work stations; prepare the training activity matrix, monitor and update the achievement chart, progress chart, trainees record book. 4. The trainer will conduct competency assessment after all the activities and requirements of the competency are complied with. 5. The trainer will conduct post test to determine whether learning took place; ask trainees to evaluate training implementation using the Program Evaluation Questionnaire; interpret and analyze data based on pretest/ post test analysis . The VIS shall : 1. Ensure that all trainers are NC Level Certified.

2. Ensures all trainers conduct 6 hour daily teaching load and 2 hr daily on administrative concerns preparation. 3. Strengthens basic/common competencies 4. Monitors development and enhancement of CBLM. The trainer shall: 1. Prepare and use session plans and Daily Training Activity matrix. 2. Use updated CBLM according to prescribed format 3. Make CBLM available to trainees 4. Ensure CBLM available in soft and hard copies. 5. Set equipment accordingly by unit of competencies. 6. Post TQ/AQ/NC certificates inside workshops. 7. Install posters properly and observes uniform signage and labels. 8. Maintain active and accurate information in the trainees Progress chart not less that 4x 6 in size 9. Produce and issue Trainees Record Book to monitor their progress and performance. The administrator shall : 1. Require Trainees Induction Program prior to actual conduct of training. 2. Provide separate room for basic and common competencies

3. Require trainees with zero knowledge to undergo basic computer operation course. 4. Require trainees to undergo computer-based English proficiency program. 5. Assign trainer with expertise in various modules to serve as lead facilitator in common competencies workshop. 6. Disallow sit-down lectures in workshops dedicated for core competencies. 7. Requires PPE for defined instructional purpose in each workshop.

The VIS : 1. Ensures availability of supplies and materials before the conduct of every core competency. 2. Makes available updated CBLM for reference/guide of trainees. 3. Ensures that trainers conduct institutional assessment to their trainees after finishing a particular competency. 4. Ensures trainees to be found competent by passing institutional assessment in all required unit of competencies. 5. Ensures trainees to be competent before allowing them to proceed to next module.

The VSA : 1. Issues Certificate of Achievement (COA) right after completing and passing basic competencies and another COA for common competencies. 2. Issues Certificate of Competency (COC) after passing a particular core by passing assessment. 3. Issue certificate of training (COT) only after completion of the basic, common and core competencies.
