We started with an explanation of what is a muslim (small m) and then we went through the importance of obedience and submission

to God. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all agree up until this point. Abraham was the patriarch of all three. David and Solomon were kings in their own right. Issac and Ismael both fathered many righteous tribes and offspring. Noah, Enoch, Zachariah, Joseph, Moses, etc were all warners, prophets and messengers of God. All three agree on this. So the question that most people diverge is, what happened with Jesus? This gets rather complicated because out of the three religions, two will agree on one thing and the other will disagree. But let us try to boil it down to simple terms. According to Christianity, Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary and sent as the "Son of God" and the Messiah to the Children of Israel, whom we will refer to simply as "the Jews". The Jews rejected Jesus and the virgin birth. The newly formed Christians become the true followers of God and Jesus. Jews continued then and still continue to this day awaiting the coming of the Messiah. Jews also believed that Jesus could not be a "Son of God" because that would be blasphemy to say that God has an actual son, and it would contradict monotheism. Along come the Muslims, they agree with the Christians that Jesus was born from the Virgin Mary and came as the messiah for the Children of Israel. Jesus is mentioned many times in the Quran (sometimes spelled Koran). Each time Jesus is mentioned, it is always in a positive light, with the utmost respect and reverence. But Muslims also reject the idea of Jesus being a "Son of God". Here, the Muslim agrees with a basic premise of Judaism; that to say God has an actual son is blasphemy. Muslims are very strict when it comes to defining monotheism. Even to worship Muhammad would be a great sin to a Muslim. Muslims also reject the concept of God existing as a trinity. Again, to a Muslim, God exists solely as one, not as a trinity or three into one. Furthermore, Muslims believe Jesus was not crucified on the cross, but that God raised Jesus up to Himself and that Jesus must return to Earth as we approach the Last Days. Muslims also believe that there will be an Anti-Christ towards the Last Days. So the divide of the three Abrahamic religions begins with the definition of Jesus. Jesus did nothing to contribute to that divide. It was those who came after Jesus that created and exacerbated that divide. That divide still exists today and will continue to exist until Jesus returns. In summary, Muslims believe in the miraculous birth of Jesus through his mother, Mary. Muslims believe that Jesus performed many miracles, including curing the blind and even breathing life into a clay bird. Muslims believe that Jesus was the Promised Messiah sent to the Children of Israel. Muslims believe that he did not die on the cross. Muslims do not believe Jesus is the Son of God, but rather one of the great prophets of God, including Adam, Noah, Abraham and Moses. Muslims do believe in the return of Jesus. Muslims believe in the coming of the Anti-Christ.
