1. PURPOSE

The purpose of this procedure is to collect and analyze data to determine the effectiveness of system and evaluation of data to bring continual improvement in process, product and services. 2. SCOPE This procedure applies to monitoring and improvement of the key characteristics of EKL Products and Services. 3. REFERENCE ISO 9001: 2000, Clause 8.4 EKL Quality Manual Section 8.4 4. RESPONSIBILITIES 5.1 Department Heads and Incharges are responsible for supervision of data analysis regarding Quality Management System and implementing suitable statistical techniques in EKL, in order to control product characteristics and process capability. They are further responsible for maintaining records. PROCEDURE 6.1 EKL has identified four key areas for use of statistical techniques in order to improve its products and services. These are: 6.1 Customer satisfaction Product / service related non-conformances Characteristics and trends of processes and products including opportunities Suppliers performance

PM/SM is responsible to send customer satisfaction form to the customer for their feedback and data is received by Head BD for further analysis. This is shared with participants of management review meeting to bring improvement in the area where customer rating is below average.

Data related to non-conforming of product/service and internal audit is collected by MR for analysis and improvement. Head Projects Planning & Control is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects by receiving the data from sites. Data received from sites is analyzed and presented to the management for ensuring that projects are going as per plan. Data related to suppliers is also collected by the respective department Incharges to assess the performance for their qualification. After compiling data several techniques may be used for data analysis. The recommended statistical techniques are as follows: Check sheets. Bar charts, pie charts, line graphs. Pareto charts. Cause and effect diagrams. Scatter diagrams. Histograms. CPM & PERT Charts.

Works Manager / Head Projects present the results of use of statistical techniques during management review meeting and maintain the record for use of statistical techniques for 2 years.
