    Simple hat for a child or adult is knitted flat then seamed, just use a larger needle size for the adult hat. Cast on 71 st for both sizes, using appropriate needle size given above.     for the adult hat. Sized: Child (Adult) Materials: 1(2) balls 50g/100m Karaoke #277 Durango Set of 4mm (5.0mm) knitting needles. Sewing up needle.

    Cast on 71 st for both sizes, using appropriate needle size given above. Knit 1 purl 1 rib for 8(12) rows. Rows 1 and 2: Knit Row 3: K1 [k2tog yon], repeat [ to ] to last 2 st, k2. Row 4, 5 and 6: Knit Repeat last 4 rows 7 times. Row 35: K10 k2tog, repeat to last st, k1. Row 36 and all alternate rows: Knit Row 37: K9 k2tog, repeat to last st, k1. Continue to decrease as set working 1 less stitch between each decrease in every 2nd row until 14 st left.
