Abbreviations: kb: knit back of stitch pb: purl into back of stitch ssk: slip 2 stitches as if to knit, then knit those 2 stitches together tbl: through back loop(s) yon: Yarn over needle ( ): indicates pattern repeat. Using 5.5mm needles, cast on 33 sts. Rows 1 to 6: Knit each row. (Garter stitch) Row 7: K3 (p1 kb3 p2 kb3 p1 k1 k2tog yon k1 yon ssk k1 p1 kb3 p2 kb3 p1) k3. Row 8: K3 (k1 pb3 k2 p3 k1 p7 k1 pb3 k2 pb3 k1) k3. Row 9: K3 (p1 kb1 p2 kb2 p2 kb1 p1 k2tog yon k3 yon ssk kb1 p1) k3. Row10: K3 (k1 pb1 k2 pb2 k2 pb1 k1 p7 k1 pb1 k2 pb2 k2 pb1 k1) k3.
