ROLES OF A PRACTICING CLINICAL INTSRUCTOR

Determining the students work schedule and clinical assignments Appropriately supervising student.

Apprising the Program Clinical instructor of student absence(s), tardiness, and concern regarding professional conduct.

Providing input into determination of the students final grade through the written evaluation form supplied.

Providing a safe and effective environment in which to learn

Observe nursing students in clinical settings and provide feedback to the students on their performance.

Provide continuous and ongoing evaluation of student performance remembering that student performance should be consistent with their current coursework;

Exhibits leadership skills by delegating tasks, setting priorities and making decisions.
