One of our lecturers, Yaziz from School of Business & Entrepreneurship, recently participated in St George Melbourne Marathon 2010

in the full marathon category 42.195 km race. The event which is held every year since 1978, last year was held on Sunday 10 October, 2010. On a picture perfect day ideal conditions for distance running the race was won by Japhet Kipkorir from Kenya in time of 2 hrs 11 minutes. The race course goes through some of the most scenic areas of Melbourne such as St Kilda, Botanic Garden, Albert Park Lake and beaches of Port Phillip Bay, and finishes with one lap inside iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Yaziz, who has a personal best of 3 hrs 38 minutes at Penang Bridge Marathon, regularly participates in marathon races in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Trengganu, Singapore and Thailand. He also participated in Bank of America Chicago Marathon 2009.
