Bellieni CV, Pinto I, Bogi A, Zoppetti N, Andreuccetti D, Buonocore G. (2012). Exposure to electromagnetic fields from laptop use of "laptop" computers. Arch Environ Occup Health. 2012;67(1):31-6. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed?term=22315933 In this study, the authors assess the safety of 5 brands of commonly used laptops computers. When close to the body, the laptop induces currents that are within 34.2% to 49.8% ICNIRP recommendations for adults, but exceed these exposures by 182-263% for a fetus (in pregnant women). They suggest the laptop should be renamed to prevent customers from the implied, but improper use.
