Jonathan O. Gan & Associates

My OJT here at Jonathan O. Gan & Associates for Interior Design Department/Category started on March 28, 2012 and will end on April 30, 2012. For the thirteen (13) days that Ive been working there, I can say that I am learning a lot of things Not just in the field of Interior Designing but also what the corporate life/ real world really is. On the early part of my job, I was assigned to design executives office and supervisors offices including their comfort roomsfor Venture One Technical Office Project. The following days, the Head of ID Dept. handover me the Robinsons Movieworlds Malabon, Isabela and Palawan Project. I used to enhance my AutoCAD skills, design ideas and knowledge about materials. In addition, in working I was trained to be punctual and open to accept everyones ideas. In terms of the corporate life/real world experience, I can say that the student-petiks-langlife is so much easier and definitely a whole lot more fun. I really didnt believe the clich that going to school is better

than working. Now, I totally believe it. Im not saying that I wont be working in the future, but I guess Im just not ready yet. The corporate life/real world is very routinary And this corporate life/real world that were living now involves

riding the dreaded MRT every morning A mode of transportation in Manila where in you ride a metal contraption (aka train) which very much mimics a can of sardines, the only difference between the two: the can of sardines contains sauce. (I

actually think that its very much appropriate that the ad printed on the train should be Hakone or Ligo or something just kidding)). But I enjoy working on JOGAN company.. Really..

LOCSIN International
There is something about the corporate life/real world thats very draining Emotionally, mentally, and physically. I dont know why but it just is. The good thing about work is the pay (hahahaha) and of course, the better thing about it is that i got to meet new friends. Who? The regular employees and the other interns here at Locsin International. Plus, the most important on taking my training is the knowledge I gain concerning natural materials used by their Furniture Industry. The quality of their products not just here in the Philippines, but all over the world :) Afterwards, Mr. Roberto Locsin (owner) give us time to design our own furniture. He provide us books, tips and

ideas too. The OIC in Marketing Dept. taught us how to process Furniture exportation and conversing with the clients. In the latter days, she gave us works in

Photoshop editing as propose images to their company profile. In this manner, I expand my ability in doing my works rates to the top.

Knowledge Gain:

C. L Rosales & Partners

So tired :( I just came from a long trip way back home. Ive been in fx for 1 hour and riding in MRT, supposed to be just in 15minutes but waiting for my turn to be carried, it turns out in 45minutes. But my long trip fades when I arrived there. The people were jolly, approachable and fun to work with. During the interview with Archt. Rosales, she asks me if I really want this field. After the chit chats, she accepted me and scheduled my work. The next day, I worked with the Interns. Archt. Rosales gave me the Bacoor Market Place Project. Im so excited to perform my ideas, for this is the First time Im working with Architects. In the latter days, Archt. Rosales quite amazed in my rendering skills using SketchUp software. I don't know why, but she is.

Im so glad that in my small thing, she appreciates everyones works. I finished my 50 hours in the company, yet she asks me to come back even for a day to finish some project regarding ren-

dering. I think she really likes me. Just kidding. :) Plus, I'm really contented in this company for Archt. Rosales gave me so much allowance. hahaha
