Respected CM , Subject : Improve health care by improving number of Pharmacists with their Job Descriptions

I am a pharmacist & have worked in Government institution on ad hoc basis (Services Hospital , Lahore ,a 1200 beds hospital with 11 Pharmacists only with clerical jobs rather than pharmacists job description ) , I have not saw any thing improving in health care system because pharmacists are totally ignored all the time there is talk about Doctors & Nurses , you have visited the World & you may also checked the developed countries & their Health Care System , where Doctor examine people, listen to them describe their health problems, and do tests to see what is wrong. They give people medicine and other kinds of treatment. They also give advice about diet, exercise, and sleep. Pharmacists are experts in medicine and its side effects. They sometimes help doctors choose which medicines to give patients. Pharmacists also warn doctors if the doctors have asked their patients to take any medicine that might hurt their patients. Nurses, take care of sick and injured people. They give people medicine. They treat wounds. Nurses ask patients about their symptoms and keep detailed records. They watch for signs that people are sick. Then, nurses help doctors examine and treat patients. These professionals along with Dispensers & other health care providers make the Health Care Team & form the Triangle to improve Patients Health. In Pakistan here is only Doctors & Nurse are in this health care system , Pharmacist who have the knowledge of Medicines its side effects , interactions etc is not even bother he works in Government institutes like a clerk of 17 Grade which is a big injustice to the profession after the incidence of Punjab Institute of Cardiology now not only Provincial Governments but the Federal Government is taking the issue & as I see on TV The Drug Regularity agency is approved showing importance of Pharmacy Profession. In the end it is I request you to Kindly increase the number of Pharmacists & appoint them with their job responsibilities which is not done in Punjab to the best of my knowledge, so that to give better services to the Patients.
