The 2008 Henna Page Calendar
FOREWORD
by Roy Jones
Henna found its way into the online world a little over ten years ago. Since
then, henna body art has evolved as traditional and contemporary
approaches to the craft have reached a worldwide audience through the
medium of the Internet.
The Henna Page has been part of the spread of henna beyond its traditional
boundaries and, because of the hard work and continuing support of an
increasing number of online henna enthusiasts and professionals, continues
to be the primary online source for henna information.
The first Henna Page calendar, in 2006, was an experiment in publishing

photographic images of henna in a practical format that could be
distributed through the World Wide Web. It was also our free gift to henna
users worldwide. The calendar was also an opportunity to showcase the
designs of some of the most creative people working in contemporary
henna body art. The experiment has been a success. Over 75,000 copies of
the first two editions of the Henna Page calendar have been downloaded
and many hundreds mailed as CDs.
The 2008 Henna Page calendar continues the original vision…to present
examples of contemporary body art in henna, indigo and other media, and
to offer it free to everyone to thank you for your devotion to the craft and
your support of the Henna Page.
